**** repress 2018 **** late nineties saw three releases of boo williams on titonton duvante run residual records. from these three eps we pulled the four best tracks, which make up this >residual ep<. four times raw, deep, melancholic, late night grooves at which boo is a master. essential house music!
fresh with love from detroit ...though hes been djing in detroit for well over 30 years, talley put out his first full-length, norm-a-lize, just last year via fxhe. hes following quickly with a new ep, i tried to told cha. the ep from talley comes on the heels of an fxhe 12-inch from label boss omar-s, your socially awkward criminal.. next norm talley.
2018 repress with tripple gatefold cover + unique time stamp + double sided 12inch inlay . >raw as fuck autistic star trek 1987- misty forests- x-files,- detroit unicorn futurism made on cheap ass digital & analog crap synthesizers recorded in a ragtag bedroom studio on a teac vhx cassettedeck in dolby c with an unintelligible yet soulfull vivacity< legowelt
cinthie is best known for her imprint beste modus. for ground service cinthie delivers two strong floor bangers that will fulfill your needs on setting your crowd on fire. zky of cab drivers remixed both of the tracks. his interpretations with additional sounds and basslines give them a more jacidish twist.
the musical connection between berlin and detroit has always been a very strong and inspring one. jazzanova continues this close dialogue by putting mike huckaby in charge of remixing their latest song i human. huckaby is one of the unsung heroes of detroit techno. with his highly acclaimed deep house productions and remixes for deepchord, juan atkins, vladislav delay, pole, loco dice, losoul, and pacou, (just to name a few) he is more than well respected in the citys underground community and way beyond. his remix for jazzanovas latest track (off the brilliant album funkhaus studio sessions) split into two pieces on this 10inch, is a belter by all means. if you wouldnt know better, youd mistake it for a larry heard/mr. fingers production. still huckaby is putting his very own distinctive touch to this rework: a groovy rhythm section is added for extra emphasis on the dancefloor.and as the track builds we find ourselves in deep house heaven screaming for more. you better order two copies of this limited 10inch, in order to seamlessly mix part 1 intopart 2 - or vice versa
the e.p kicks off with she can dance, a slow burning acid number that has elements of deep, grooving house from the detroit school. in fact, the second cut low control bares the influence of detroit too, with its murky, dubbed-out chords ala luke hess moving into a punchy bassline with minimal but functional drum patterns. proceedings get a bit more bouncy on the smoking hat, a quirky acid romp on the less daft side of ceephax, and the perfect soundtrack to accompany a feature-length documentary about.... a smoking hat. finishing up the e.p is fudge fingas remix of low control, the only man qualified to make an already deep as fuck track even deeper. theres been some on-point criticisms about a lot recent deep stuff getting lost in noodly jazz territory, but we are in no danger of that nonsense with fudge fingas at the controls: accomplished a musician he may be, hes never been one to lose the way, and this mix proves his deft and subtle remix talents. dabj done done it again, and hopefully this is the first in a long line of productions from vernon.
back with another banger compilation. on the a side weve got the quintessential anonymous producer crue who provides heat with the very first cut on this record which is a peak time banger close to the techno and acid realm. then, on the same side, a great detroit deep house influenced track by esperanzas label boss kasper shows the infectious and deeper work for this broad release.
ltd 2017 repress, just in time for summer fun, we are hitting you up with the seventh itj installment and as you might have guessed, we present you once more with three tracks on a fine piece of waxxx. the second track of the b-side could just as well have been the a-side. it puts the ass in bass. just listen. the b1 track is the beast of burden, pulling the weight of the release. this track will bring down the house without even trying. the a-side is what it is. nothing but the motherfuckin hits
THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME BE MYSELF (VINYL PART TWO 2X12 INCH)

dark. loud. immersive. lÄrm, or >the black box< as hungarian clubbers started to call it is most definitely the hottest spot in budapests electronic music scene right now. the club now turned to local house-techno heads to create its first vinyl release with names such as imre kiss, route 8, andras toth or s.olbricht as a mission statement and the result is just like what they imagined: a compilation of 13 varied tracks from classic drum machinery through acidic house to toned-down thumpers which demonstrates the very attitude of lÄrm.
a triple lp entitled * from joy * by kyle hall. the title is derived from the idea of finding a way to live life in a state of presence, detaching oneself from the mental, self imposed narratives echoed by society s traditions and judgements. we as people tend to be at our most honest and present in our childhood, so in some ways from joy serves as a mechanism and reminder to return to one s youthful energetic state. the 8- track album, all produced before 2010, is a homage to where kyle lived at the time in his father s basement on the westside of detroit on joy rd.
a key artist in the shaping of electronic music, dan curtin has explored many styles in his career and now he has come full circle. the hardware repopulates the studio, bringing with it the inventive, organic techno sound he is most fondly known for, this time with a modern twist. these tracks take you to the heart of the man and are some of his best work.
manmade science turns back on philpot records and delivers two awesome pieces of house with that special mms-signature. to come close to the manmade science universe one has to understand that next to long termed friendship the love for drums, record collections and soulful music is their connection. thanks for your support over these years and for purchasing a real copy!
alert - b1 contains 8 clicks in the intro! the fifth regelbau record is a maxi of the single >i know<. the arhus group hi mount consisting of ph 1, dj central & dj sports, have teamed up with c.k of 2 bit crew. first mix was made by the four in thaiwork studios (cs livingroom). club mix and deep dub mix were made for the floor by the two brothers zaks.
the 3rd release from detroit influenced japanese techno label select kashiwa. derrick may s already played a1.twilight and shadow. a2.life sounds like mixture of japanese game and animation music plus detroit techno. and anacatesthesia track b1.walking on the cloud. all three tracks consist of japanese sensitivity and detroit style funkiness + soulful sound. this is more classic detroit than recent tracks from detroit.
quite frankly, in order to perceive the complete and total benefit of the side-throw half-wainshaft, the bushing and flange coupler of the main headshaft need to be in exact accordance with the specifications set forth in special bulletin 18.ab. if they are not of the proper dimensionary properties as discussed, the temperature compensation heat-load cycle runs the risk of over-flagguleation of the secondary belleville load-shedding pumped main suspension bearing, and that may lead to inaccordant oscillation of the tertiary and also quadranary and sextanary torque-bearing quadrant-shafts. simply put... 4 cuts and vinyl only!
pollyn celebrates the release of their forthcoming anthology by digging in the vaults for a special double a-side 12inch featuring two highly sought-after remixes from the elusive moodymann. kenny moodymann dixon jr has remixed pollyn, not once, but twice and now those hard-to-find remixes are together on one massive (remastered and pressed on 45rpm) 12inch. while sometimes you just know was released on vinyl back in 2012, this is the first time his remix to the linda perhacs-sampling track too late to change the past has been released on vinyl (or even commercially)! pollyns triple-vinyl anthology here lies pollyn will be released in july and features tracks, b-sides and rarities pulled from pollyn’s three full length albums, as well as a new song featuring alexis taylor from hot chip.
oaklands aybee will make his debut on mollys newly launched rdv (recit de voyage) with the labels second release. the nexus ep follows the dj/producer/filmmakers 2016 lp the odyssey on his own deepblak imprint and recent 12inch the motion syntax for londons dmk. having established a reputation as one of electronic musics foremost innovative and versatile musicians with a freeform, jazz-influenced approach to production that has lent itself equally to a prolific solo output under various guises and collaborations with afrikan sciences, ron trent and jerome sydneham - the nexus finds aybee again mining a deep & hypnotic house sound to maximum effect, employing the tribal drum patterns, hypnotic synths and signature grooves that helped establish the deepblak sound. the trio of tracks make for a perfect follow-up to rdvs debut from prophets of a new generation, and fit beautifully within the trademark deep, subtle & groovy style of the parisian dj & rex club resident molly, who herself is quickly establishing herself as a label owner with her own unique vision.
another must have and sought after moodymann release available for the first time since its initial release in 2001. the telephone ep was the third in the limited forevernevermore 12” series following don’t you want my love and in my wagon. the a side is a remake of the title track from forevernevermore and in classic moodymann style the original is presented in a different context. combining all the essential elements of the initial groove and adding a variety of new sounds and effects, we are offered a totally fresh take on this stone cold moodymann classic. on the b side the telephone is a funked up slightly retro jazz inspired groove incorporating complex drum programming and chilled keys which hints at the direction moodymann was to take his productions in on his later albums silence in the secret garden and black mahogani ii
houseworx proudly welcomes gary romalis from the motor city! i guess we don t need the introduce this great artist anymore. gary released on some of the scene s big players like intangible records, slow town, rawax, housewax, skylax jutst to name a few. w re very excited to share the -back 2 basicz- ep with you

omar-s introduces detroit s newest diva on the scene, simon black with an x-rated 12- for the real freaky types. in line with some of the definitive vogue house tracks of the past, -i ll do it again- will become future ballroom staple. on the flipside, -freaky type- black slows it down and steams it up with some nasty vox over a beat produced by fit siegel. high kicks and hand snaps all around!
planet e are proud to present aw18 collection, a 3 track ep from british producer tom flynn. drawing upon a broad and learned musical understanding, aw18 collection fuses disparate strands from the worlds of fashion, club culture and sound design to forge a highly atmospheric, singular release. packard, the title of which is inspired by parties in the historic detroit power plant of the same name, establishes an unrelenting energy from the get go. a bouncing kick lays the foundations for rolling synths, unnerving vocal samples and delicate piano refrains to wander. anna is an indulgent nod to the catwalk, marching with intent amidst immersive chords and subtle melodies. the b side hosts a trippy cut full of interplanetary glitches and melancholic harmonies. drawing upon hints to the extraterrestrial, marx creates a dizzying swirl with glistening textures. carl craig was sold straight away: when tom sent me his demo of packard i knew i wanted to release it on planet e. the mix of looped electronics with soul of the piano brought me back to when i first heard the post-disco classic beyond the clouds. i can imagine the kids on the scene rockin hard to this.
