late night techno, deep house, ambient soundscapes, introspective electro and sci-fi soundtracks with strong influence from the music of detroit and chicago. obscure australian imprint offworld records reactivates after a 21-year hiatus to issue the still tomorrow ep by producer tim jackiw as a label follow-up to the rare science of sound vol 1 touted as one of the best deep techno 12inch singles of the 1990s, reissued in 2016 on the recondite label and now highly sought after by collectors worldwide. a series of archival dat and tape recordings produced in tims adelaide-based home studio during the same mid-90s period as science of sound and the recent memory feedback release on slow life berlin, this 6-track extended play 12inch covers a broad spectrum of electronic sounds including late night techno, deep house, ambient soundscapes, introspective electro and sci-fi soundtracks with strong infl uence from the music of detroit and chicago.
the new slow life release is a hidden gem from the 90s signed by the australian deep/ambient master, tim jackiw. after more than a decade, and thanks to an adventitious encounter with some of the tracks via youtube rip of a promo cassette given on party back in the day, these beauties are finally pressed on wax.
re-issue of a ltd aussie techno/house 12- from 1997. in 1997 tim jackiw emerged on the scene with his very first release on the short-lived aussie imprint, offworld records. the release was limited to 500 copies and went virtually unnoticed. a few music journalists at the time of the release dubbed it as one of the greatest electronic records to come out of australia. the a-side begins with a long deep technosoul journey. the b-side continues with more recombinant classic detroit and chicago sounds of the golden era. recondite is proud to re-issue this long lost introduction to tims music with new sounds to come in the near future!
