jah mel sees himself as a musical bridge between the original reggae sound & the dancehall sound of today, representing what he calls the real dancehall revolution, merging the spirituality of the old school & the energy of the new school. “guiding star” and “stand up to it” are the perfect examples to overstand this definition. both song were produced by roydale anderson aka andy s. “guding star” will definitely give you thrills if you are into deep synth and heavy digital rhythm, while the superb piano notes will warm you in the analog style. beware of “guiding star” dub version called “guidance (dance mix)” that will break any bunker. “stand up to it” rhythm is an adaptation of one of the most classic jamaican riddim called “heavenless”. you will never know this riddim like before, this version takes the riddim to another level. a positive song with a bionic nuclear bomb dubwise! play it loud, jah is our guiding star!

nice price deal !!! like his creator (julien decoret), opium factory is a vision of what electro rock is today. the idea is minimal and with no artifice , a hairy drum and bass combo serving nonchalant vocals in a raw sound environnement. this music refrains itself from any form of radio edit and seeks on the contrary to emphesize on the hypnosis element of voodoo. upright bass player for nouvelle vague and bassist for la boétie, julien decoret is not at his first shot and delivers here an original and matured sound.

carl finlow could be regarded as one of the cornerstones of not only 20/20 vision, but also of british electronic music. his boundary pushing, electro-tinged productions under the random factor alias make for essential 20/20 listening, as does his work as 1/4 of 2020soundsystem. while this year has been about looking to the future of the label, we also felt it was important that we looked deep into our history and revisited one of our all time classic records: random factor – broken mirror. on the a side carl has prepared a new ‘revisted’ version for this release and this is accompanied by the original version from 1999. for the remixer we thought long and hard about someone we felt would be suitable. someone with pedigree in the electro scene, who would feel as passionate as we do about making this release something truly special. there was only really one person we wanted and luckily when we contacted legowelt he was a big fan of the original track and was super keen to get onboard the project. we hope you enjoy these two pioneers of the electro scene going head to head x

carl finlow aka random factor has been doing deep house before they called it deep house. as a staple on 20/20 vision record in the last 90s he made a name for himself with his off the beaten path production that took europe underground sceen by a storm. we are super excited to have finally tracked mr. finlow down in 2015 and put together an amazing ep that has his signature sound written all over it. our seasons recordings imprint is proud to present *subterranean ep*. enjoy the underground tone and remember to play it loud!

arno völker aka einzelkind has been a driving force in the world of underground house music for nearly a decade, rising to fame through releases on get physical, playhouse, mule electronic, cocoon and white as well as the infamous la peña and pressure trax (run with frost) imprints.
robin scholz is one of the most taleted artists we saw in the last years. robin gave his debut on our ten inch series with the *retrospective ep*. no wonder he released after that on pressure traxx, la peña & white.
this is just the beginning - we feel a long journey with the rhythm factory!

one night stand is jam factorys third release, a collaboration with new york-based vocalist mattie safer (formally of the rapture) over two 12 inches. this first 12 inch features the original version - a piano-driven chicago style anthem with heavy drums and a touch of acid. mattie delivers a classic house performance in his own instantly recognisable style. on the flip are two different dubs, one an incessant barrage of pianos, the other a thick slice of acid. this release is only available on vinyl.

after the success of their inaugural workout last summer, jam factory return with their second ep of machine-made music that goes bump in the night. ocean calling is an authentic big-room house record underpinned by a catchy bassline combined with ever-evolving synth stabs and crisp analogue drums. on the flip hot & heavy kicks off with a rolling subterranean bassline and gradually develops into an addictive groove.

>beaten< is the first track to be released from random factor’s new album and comes with excellent art of tones remixes.carl a finlow again shows his history and pedigree as well as his refusal to jump on bandwagons and trends by producing timeless electronic music inspired more by kraftwerk, yello, stockhausen, tomita, prince, sakamoto, brian eno and the white noise than by what’s playing this summer at dc10. ralph lawson used >beaten< as the last track on his recent 2020vision compilation. this jerky sporadic groove gives a nod to the forefathers while holding down a beat anyone would be proud of. the single comes complete with remixes from art of tones, fresh after last year’s huge >praise<. this mystery outfit has now signed to 2020vision and this is the first of many bombs from them. art of tones take the track directly to the dancefloor and produce two versions that would slay berlin’s panorama bar at 9 on a sunday morning.
