record after record, the macadam mambo label tries to give you the best, and we are sure that new ep will not disappointed you. we are very proud to put out 3 stunning edits made by the master of european disco: albion venables from sweden. just a quick description of the tracks, ** disco mambo ** is… as you can imagine, a disco mambo track clearly dedicated to the label. ** hear the night ** comes from an obscure italian record with some french vocals part in it. and ** the mirror forrest ** is a beautiful electronic tune coming from an italian library record. record of the summer 2014, without a doubt!

edits may be dead, but just when your elitist attitude comes to a head and you think you re on top of your game, there will always be someone deeper, faster and still motivated enough to rekindle your digging desires. where blackdisco volume 10 saw the return of lovefingers and nitedog, volume xi pushes forward into new territory (and with a new aesthetic) by welcoming a group of three deep diggers who shun musical trends and their inherent fakers. dea, albion & spacelex combine their vinyl-mining efforts to unearth some real diamonds from the rough. deas cut malaka is a floater with a funky sailboat vibe, while his complimentary cut taubat takes the tired jungle disco vibe to new level with its triumphant synth-led chorus, an absolute stunner that could be extended for 20 minutes. on the flip, albion spoons water over the coals, steaming up the joint with an uptempo percussion bomb as if santana had a disco secret, and spacelex rides us out with a sexy rock groove complete with mysterious male voiceover, almost as if someone lowered the volume to whisper in your ear.

at last the albion vinyl sampler sees the light of day! we have waited far too long for this hotcake, but as they say >the best things come to those who wait<. we have pressed up four crazy disco gems here on the vinyl sampler. we start with >leslie< by the nevaboston team originally released in 1978 on a rare as rocking horse shit italian 7 inch albion gives it his subtle but effective treatment blending both parts together to create a new take on this killer piece of music (wait for the horns to drop for maximum dance floor devastation). oh and i nearly forgot to mention this is exclusive to the sampler never ever released norma jordans >feel me< also gets the albion snip and this delightful tracks begins with a quite a dark intro, mutating acid & disco until normas inviting voice comes to the front and absolutely smashes any dance floor into smithereens. once again it’s limited edition with no repress so buy now or cry later.

albion got his first bookings in high school on his friends parties and played his first gig in a club in the early nineties. ten years later he rediscovered the sound of his childhood, disco. since then he has been throwing parties and playing in clubs, digging deep for records and obsessing about long forgotten music. in 2006 albion started making the astronomix and mixtura mixes for c-b-s which made him gain his reputation as a mixer of the most far out disco this side of the moon. hes now part of the heavy outfit which is ambassadors reception

this circular item is the oaks 04 by prostitutes. musica techno para discoteca vol.1 its title. if you drop the needle on this side (a) mighty arms and a glancing kiss will play. if you flip it side (b) albion remains and churns up into stone will do the same. eleven times three revolutions per minute. recommended for dj use.
musica techno para discoteca is the new series from oaks. in it i’ll showcase the techno music that inspires me, the techno music that i love to play, the techno music that in my opinion should get a decent exposure due it’s originality and honesty. without paying attention to the market demand or industry standards.

on the a side - fresh aus das legalize lambada vaterland, the ex-yu! we bring you two white magic truffles one a jazz-funk original number courtesy of anelidi and the other a bangin-disco-stomper edited by lule. for the b side 2 more precious black truffles, dug out by our wild boars on their recent trips to the motherland - africa. our main man mikeburns delivers a mental-afro-hand-raiser while albion caters a deep-teeth-clencher. recognize and legalize!

by all accounts, whiskey disco has matured. each release unique, but compiled meticulously to meet some of the highest standards in the edit community. wd45 continues the trajectory with 4 tracks combining equal parts soul, boogie and disco. rastanils cuts up cheesy obscurity to reveal heavy disco vibes—this edit was smashed by mcde at numerous festivals in 2015. next up, the intriguing corsican brothers reappear after a 5 year absence from whiskey disco with a sliced version of i like it, beefed up bass and space on the platters with a touch of dub. side b exemplifies the weirdness only a b-side can… albions disco chopper is a stretched and phased party jam that does not stop. move to the inside for the lengthy and epic big time, a 9 minute exploration into rocking disco roots, courtesy of the eponymously named blaxploitation movie from 1977.

the heavy rotation crew is finally back with the follow-up to their successful blackdisco release. as expected they continue to deliver top shelf disco from all four corners of the world. bernhard zichler checks in on flight 77, a quirky leftfield bomb with a joy division infectious bassline. then ric piccolo takes us high up in the pampas sky with the smoking hot marruecos. on the flip albion joins forces with el chad from greece for a piece of decadent camp action with a glorious ending. to round it all off, spacelex delivers a dubbed out psychedelic disco stomper. dont miss!
