cologne based producers and dj s stikdorn and mk braun team up for the second installment of their henk label. they created 4 tracks full of analogue hardware vibes ready for the dancefloor. the a1 (platform) is a breakbeat tribute with a haunting melody and some twisted turns. a2 (reval) is a straight looping techno stomper that could go on forever. b1 (atm) takes the floor apart with sharp and crispy noise and acid sounds on a heavy bass drum. b2 (loose it) slows things down bpm-wise but is surely also one to open or close a night in style.

it’s the idea of capturing a moment on vinyl that created the first release of “henk”. after countless hours of twitching the knobs on their machines the dj’s and producers stikdorn and mk braun created a string of tracks that will now see the light of day on their collaborative label. on the a1 a solo track by stikdorn takes you into darker spheres with an acid line and mystic strings/vocals. the a2 is an acidic banger ready to damage some dance floors seriously. on the b-side things get slower and quirkier. b1 is a bit broken and features a trippy acid line to guide you through lots of different drum patterns. b2 is a melancholic ride going seriously deep and mellow. the perfect closing track!

the friendship with jason lanox and henk goes way back into the early days when we started holding parties on an old shipyard in amsterdam. from the first moment henk was captured by the productions of jason lanox. henk followed him closely and saw him grow as a person, producer and performer. the first album >burning every bridge that i cross to find some beautiful place to get lost< was the reason to finally realize the long kept ambition to start henk recordings.
