on a side, bellatrix_bright side is the real star of this ep: with its minimal and well orchestrated constructions, typical of io catalogue, it lights up the production and so arises to the dancefloor. the producer completes the ep with a nearly soft track on b side: bellatrix_dark side is suitable for the most relaxing night situations that not allow a lack of style

after 7 years of chart topping hits covering an array of genres, pleasurekraft have announced the release of their debut album friends, lovers, & other constellations

the artists featured on this release were carefully chosen in order to create an eclectic sonic journey.
on the a side, two tracks from playful death, a producer whose sounds are influenced by comics such as biomega and the invisibles.
the first track on the b side is from yxan, which is micheal idehall’s techno alias. michael is a multi-talented artist who leads a publishing house called belzebez that also features many of his own artworks and has had releases on prominent labels such as ant-zen.
next up is necropants a producer who enjoys roaming around graveyards and and seeking out ancient burial mounds. the last track on the b side was created by bellatrix?, an up and coming producer from verona, italy who has recently released an excellent ep on the veleno viola imprint. bellatrix? also heads a tape label called culto verona.
all of the artists selected for this v/a embody what nightshade represents, the devil is in the detail.

for their tenth release, voodoo down has again chosen to debut a new act to add to their label roster. andy harper and nic ford have been making music together for over a decade but began releasing in earnest under the name maddermodes in 2014 on their own label, shift coordinate points. they have since put out records on the labels millions of moments and night drive music. their handful of releases have already drawn support from top names like move d and nick höppner, and its clear that the duos sound is only getting more refined with each successive record. the ep entitled emprical evidence is a wholly cinematic piece of work, spread across four tracks that unravel slowly, unified by a theme of pumping syncopated rhythms under sprawling pad and string progressions. its easy to get lost in the thick arrangements, and the inventive use of samples and melodic elements invite repeat listening. equally suitable for early morning hours, ultra-deep techno sets, or quiet home listening sessions.

the schwerin based label pure is back for the 6th release and brings a powerfull 4 tracker on the table. the mystical >schelf< comes up with 3 originals full of technoid and dark sounds structures but also toolish tracks aiming totally on the floor. orion added a very deep but straight remix to the package. serious stuff. vinyl only.
