after the highly successful first volume in the stag-o-lee dj set series we present volume 2. again an 80 minute set - this time by stuttgart based dj joe whirlypop. joe is a jack of all trades, someone who can make a wedding crowd dance, is well versed in new wave and punk and everything in between. but his biggest love is the 50’s and early 60’s. he is playing all over stuttgart for years, but these two discs reflect his monthly shake your bones residency at stuttgarts famous goldmarks club. expect all kinds of blues - from jump to rhythm & to raw electric.

curtains up for a new power trio: bass player massimo pupillo (zu, laniakea), drummer alexandre babel (sudden infant) and caspar brÃ&#150,tzmann on guitar. as the title -live at the candy bomber studios, vol.1- indicates, this album is the first cut from an inspired recording meeting. raw energy, full focus and three instrumentalists at the peak of their skills who blend noise rock, drone and improvisation into 2 relentless epic pieces. the line-up consists of massimo pupillo, bass player in zu, laniakeaand countless other constellations anddrummer alexandre babel who is a prolific player in the experimental / contemporary field (artistic director of swiss percussion group eklekto, member ofkammerensemble neue musik berlin, soloist and has performed a.o. with otomo yoshihide and keiji haino) and a steady member of the noise band sudden infant. and last but not least there s caspar brÃ&#150,tzmann on guitar who gainedhigh reputation as one of the most radical guitarists around, admired by acclaimed artists like thurston moore (-probably one of the best guitarists i ve ever met!-)and stephen o malley. a powerful unit, recorded live in the studio by ingo krauss who had already worked with brÃ&#150,tzmann on the caspar brÃ&#150,tzmann massaker albums -der abend der schwarzen folklore- and -koksofen-.

ddd records is a label and a store based in paris. un drame musical instantané is a collective of french composers led by jean-jacques birge. in 1984, they composed their own score to dziga vertovs groundbreaking 1929 film the man with a movie camera.

with just one 7inch release to their name in the form of the 1981 release, jive baby on a saturday night, the cult of the jellies was possibly accidentally assured with the long lost song being rediscovered by collectors and championed by sonic youth s thurston moore no less. picked up and reissued by the stellar trunk records in 2010, the b-side cut, however, was sadly overlooked. now emotional rescue are proud to license the conversation and remaster it especially for this rerelease. based around a simple drum and bass rhythm, interspersed with crowd noise, playful female vocal yelps and sprinkled with dub effects thrown in to the mix and you wouldn t probably think too much would be going for a track that the band put together in the last two hours of their studio time after jive baby had been completed. however, what you get is a killer gem of pop-punk-dub oddness that gets your head nodding to its infectious, repetitive rhythm laden with effects. with just this one (perfect) track available for license it seemed only right to hand it over to the in-house production team, apophenia, to do their increasingly trademark dubbed out reworking, this time in the form of a true, but respectful version for the flip. with both members of the jellies sadly now living overseas this piece of early 80s british dub as it were, can now be fully treasured for posterity while also, proving a nice little smokers delight.

what does teen spirit smell like, anyway? it might smell something like noise addict. like the real life stars of some sort of choose-your-own-adventure book about pursuing rock stardom, few bands ever led a more charmed existence, springing from the sydney suburb of bondi into seemingly overnight international fame as friends and collaborators of sonic youth, fugazi, and the beastie boys. through a combination of relentless drive, luck, and an admirable lack of self-doubt, noise addict spanned puberty to surpass the haters and join radio birdman and nick cave as a strange but permanent piece of australian punk history.
compiled here are 25 tracks, including their evan dando-worshipping satire “i wish i was him,” the thurston moore produced demo, choice cuts from their grand royal-issued ep and lp, and covers of “let’s lynch the landlord” and “back in your life.” the entire sordid adolescent tale is covered in incredible detail inside the black and white 16 page zine. and finally, for the first time in the history of record pressing, and for no good reason at all, the cover for 10.000 kids with guitars doubles as a working chalkboard.

the debut release on sores could be by none other than martyr of sores. it is a project of the prominent experimental artist richard ramirez, with hundreds of productions to his name. richard has worked with names like prurient, thurston moore, the haters and merzbow just to name a few. he is also an avantgarde fashion designer. ’ceremony’ is a monumental noise piece in two parts. electrical whirlwind sounds that grows ever so slowly to take you in and tighten it’s grip around your very being. chants evolve in and out of the inferno that are nothing less than astonishing. a hard and beautiful noise work, thanks richard.

old school veteran andrei morant who’s very much “now school” making his debut appearance on 4trk here with a stripped down dose of pure, beatin, erky/jerky tracks that drill their point in your head. no need to pepper this one with a verbose intro. listen and learn! can’t tell you equally how excited we are to tell you there’s a couple more andrei morant tracks coming also on a v/a vinyl compilation soon to follow!
