reissue - endlich neu aufgelegt! das album von 1982 war jahrelang vergriffen und gilt neben -rub-a-dub style- (studio one) als der klassiker des deejay-duo. -downpression- war ein weltweiter erfolg und schaffte den crossover vom dancehall reggae zur hip hop-community in new york durch afrika bambaataa, der mit dem song -diseases- seine mix-kunst zelebrierte. die zehn tracks des albums wurden mit den roots radics im channel one studio eingespielt, am mischpult saßen soldgie und scientist - zum einsatz kamen die riddims: taxi, firehouse rock, truly, cuss cuss, gunman, mad mad und solomon.

here comes strike number 3!!the new ep will be made by andrea di rocco, who is known for more massive beats, but now, as mr. smiley guy produces a more housy sound. but still the a-side tracks ohne mayo and ohne senf, which are full of drums, deep vocals and a significant baseline, have a driving feel to it.on the b- side left hand has continuing, harmonizing and warm synthie-sounds which gives it a deep-house feeling. on top of that there is a smooth dubnitzky remix, which is for more relaxed moments. all in all a perfect package to start the autumn. massive feedback by dubfire, maceo plex, maya jane coles,david squillace, shlomi aber, pig&dan and many more
