with his debut release on co-owned smallville label stefan marx presents an exclusive poster collection coated inside a gatefold 12inch cover sleeve. giving the smallville shop and label a visual face since the very beginning stefan marx created hundreds of posters and partyflyers, painted the shopwindows regularly and set up every single record cover. now its the time for himself to release an extraordinary smallville issue in 12inch format. three posters (each has the size of 90 cm x 60 cm) including a first appearance of his band project the dead sea (aka stefan marx, rvds, lawrence and birte löschenkohl). smallville 25 is a collaboration with nieves, the zürich based publishing house of stefan marx and some all-time favorite contributors such as kim gordon, mike mills, mark gonzales and wesley willis. stefan is working with nieves since 2004, publishing books and zines on regular basis. the smallville release is dedicated to ariel pinks haunted graffiti, probably the best band in the world. after a fabulous summer and a mind-blasting krake festival, killekill takes its next step and kicks off another new label called vanta series, which is destined for small series of 12-es with out-standing dancefloor tracks. the name derives from vantablack, a colour from nano technology, which is the blackest black and actually invisible. vanta therewith stands for the total emptiness and is the perfect name for a label which does not have a defined identity itself but is a platform for different series, which will all have a concept and aesthetic in itself. the first series is called -the end is near-. it consists of 4 releases and comes with an artwork by french artist elzo durt. every release will contain a small poster, all four posters put together become elzo durt s piece -les anges de l apocalypse-. first record is by dez williams, who also released on shipwrec and bass agenda recently. a-side acidbanger is a serious banger and has future acid classic written all over it. the b-side comes with two acid variations - one more stingy, one emotional and psychedelic - which show the potential of this outstanding producer. open your ears and put the needle on - here is some acid!

each record comes with an exclusive 24 inch square poster of the artwork for the release, designed by hani abusamra, which forms the second in the series of collectable nixwax posters that now accompany each nixwax ep.
the lead track was first tested out in the boiler room by nixwax boss, rob amboule and received a fantastic reception, with online fans and audience alike lusting after that growling bassline.

with their feet firmly positioned on dutch soil, the heads and hearts of dam swindle are nonetheless rooted deep into the soul of the motor city, and this ep of finely crafted grooves on jimmy posters and huxleys fledgling saints & sonnets imprint is as brilliant a reflection of their obsession as you could expect. >the wrap around< combines a killer vocal hook with a silky line, but its the bassline that marks it out, coming in with a thudding bassline that twists itself into all manner of unfiltered goodness at the halfway point. >pain tomorrow< meanwhile prefers to let its skipping percussion do the talking with a bumping chord led groove that would put mcde to shame. the ep is rounded off with a killer remix of the title track from deleusions of grandeurs pattern select, turning in a sparse reworking which transforms the light original into a throbbing piece of basement house.
