yes, so we re finally here, the 100th release of gamm enterprises ! since the very first release with red astaire s now classic follow me gamm have remixed, reworked and edited almost every style under the black music banner. gamm have and will always aim to deliver dj friendly black dance music regardless of style. gamm simply bring out that little extra in your favourite tunes. so for our 100th anniversary release we thought we really needed to bring out the big guns. what could be better than an ep where the mighty the reflex and up and coming remix star moplen came together and re-work the greatest artist of al time, michael jackson! sounds pretty good right? the reflex, moplen and mj...what a trio! well, there s not much more to say really except that if you like disco, boogie and mj this is the biggest musical home run of all time. lets boogie...gamm style!

uk jazz head aroop roy is back with his highly successful series of brazil infected reworks. like on the previous volumes he sought out his fave tunes from brazil and fine tuned them for your djing pleasure. its all very classy and well produced but most important, its very good dance music!

oh yes, this a heavyweight bad boy on gamm from french beatmaker/producer izem. after his extensive travels around the globe the sound on the ep is influenced by africa, cuba as well as the middle east.
itt is an electronic take on a classic fela joint, celia (cruz) goes along a similar route but on the latin tip. both are pretty nasty and a near perfect marriage between futuristic productions and raw retro samples. finishing off the ep we get served a slice of arabic boogie using hipnotics hard to find boogie gem *are you lonely* and some fierce middle eastern vocals.

moplen have released killer disco edits on labels like bbe, salsoul, windy city edits and chopshop. now its time for moplen to hit up gamm with two stunning disco excursions.
on the a-side we find a huge remake of classic salsoul jam *jingo* but now with a massive piano intro and loads of percussion breakdowns…heavy!
on the b-side rufus & chakas classic nyc disco anthem *clouds* (what a tune!) gets a dj friendly moplen re-rub.

for the 50th release on gamm we just had to give you a big one! mad mats reworks two of his all time favourite tracks...can it get better? both joints were huge at this years wmc conference with peeps like timmy regisford and dj spinna blasting the tracks...nuff said!

simbad is back.... and as usual with the man its all about soul.... this time, its d angelo who gets the simbad/gamm treatment in style. and it works wonders for sure. remember the first release from the gamm stable, well it was already d angelo makin it sweet to our dancing feet... heres the second stike...

in the back room at the raw fusion club in stockholm is where the tropical treats crew hold it down every month with their selection of the undiscovered black vinyl jewels from around the world. now they ve taken their world funk sound to vinyl for a classic gamm release. their re work of oneness of jujus african rhythms is an absolute blinder while waarewaah is another afrodelic monster that is sure to turn heads...

after the recent hits of doin james, gamm is at last back with some hot new releases for 2009. first up is stockholm duo dj asparagus and house don wipe the needle for a supa soulful house re work of gil scot herons classic your daddy loves you. definitely one for the southport weekender crews...big tune! dj asparagus have also included a dope baltimore cut up of marva whitneys unwind yourself which was originally intended to be on the doin james series which did not get ready in time but here makes a wicked b side burner.

taking a stuttering reggae backing the gamm boys turn this into an unlikely dancefloor alternative with a similar feel to that emmanon track on the flip they add double time drums and all of a sudden its a storming jazzy drum and bass bomb (sb)

the second ep in the patchouli brothers two part release on gamm begins with fuqua & james, an uplifting, warm and soulful disco jam that aims straight for the heart of any soulful disco head. the b side peace, love & understanding is for all the philly fans out there just straight-up good disco music.

in the world of disco edits the patchouli brothers are as in demand as you can possibly be right now. their edits and reworks are played and hyped by all the major players in the game and now they got a two-part release on gamm. on the first ep we begin with all good things, a looped up disco nugget aimed straight for the peak hour. decent! on the b, we get more organic with a proper feel-good disco thang in classic patchouli style.

it s been a while since al kent the scottish disco guy released anything on his own label. but since he s celebrating 20 years of million dollar disco in 2019 this seems like the perfect time to rectify that. following on the heels of a string of successes for labels like gamm, razor n tape, cree and bbe, this sublime piece of disco soul has been road tested all over europe and beyond, with each play getting the same massively positive reaction and a queue of punters dying to know what the hell they ve just danced to! so it s probably a good idea to make this available on a super limited one sided pressing so even more people can dance to it

afshin (djoon, paris) and kiss my black jazz make their debut on gamm with two incredibly well executed edits/reworks ! first up is a hand clappin gospel house workout and on the b-side a fierce ghetto disco-funk edit with driving rhythms and killer organ solos. both will surely do the business on a variety of floors.

lay-far returns to gamm with three slices of jazzy disco numbers that got joyful dancing written all over them. he s carefully selected his fave disco, jazz-funk and fusion tracks from herbie mann (etagui), fsb (morning) and mass production (cosmic lust) that were just asking for that special moscow edit touch. gentle perfection!

love drop drops (!) his first release on gamm and goes all in for a jazz-disco-boogie affair that will be hard to resist. | lesette willson s jazzy boogie classic gets a proper rework with some female spiritual spoken word vocals on top. jupiter beyonds jazz-disco monster gets a heavy club edit and last but not least one of the best jazz-funk tracks of all time by johnny hammond smith gets a vocal treatment that just...works!

the ppa duo outta london is back with another burning hot 7inch on gamm. just like on the first 7inch they go for two rare jazz-funk tracks where they not only rework the originals but also add their own instrumentation on top. song for you (by popcorn) got a real nice boogie funk feel and sounds like an early 80s production from the uk even though its actually a rare florida production. green machine is jazz-funk original by o donel levy but now re-tweaked and with vintage clavinet and percussion added over the original track. another ppa home run!

smbd aka simbad is back with his third seasonal ep on gamm. after a long and dark winter smbd thought we all could need some uplifting and soulful spring music...church style! these three gospel boogie/disco jams have been his personal dj weapons over recent years but now they re given a sweet edit twist for your dancing pleasure. it doesn t really get more uplifting than this!

2018. repress , house of disco return with a pair of funk fuelled cuts from aroop roy with japan s brisa contributing a deep and percussive remix. based in london, aroop roy s take on electronic music involves blending elements of jazz, afro, latin and funk with disco and house. roy s releases have landed on freestyle, gamm and basic fingers, and most recently on the hugely successful kampana classics ep.

thatmanmonkz and simba have both been dropping loads of tight house releases this year. over at gamm hq we ve been admiring their music from afar but have now managed to team them up together with a solid ep of house inspired reworks. split up over 4 tracks they snap elements from hip hop (tribe quest), r&b (e. badu) and disco. it s all deep, edgy and comes with a real gritty feel...just the way we like it.

pascal garnier aka krewcial is a belgian beat maker turned mc turned producer turned dj. he s been dropping soulful music on labels like bbe, pias, we play house and lumberjacks in hell since he began in the early 90s. lately he s been focusing on more disco(ish) sounds and on this first ep on gamm, krewcial goes all over the place with a wide range of disco inspired edits. you get everything from vocal nyc disco, jazz-funk disco, philly disco and beautiful mid tempo groover...all very soulful of course! proper dj action with some real nice artwork by our in house maestro designer michal rafaj.

nick the record is one of the uk s most respected record dealers as well as a highly gifted dj of the underground disco, afro, soul, funk and house scene since the early 90s. for those who don t know he was 1/2 of soul ascendants that released some serious fela inspired house on nuphonic records in the late 90 s. he s currently enjoying a well deserved hype due to his heavy compilations on z records and various remixes. for his first release on gamm he goes all disco with two big reworks that are sure to get the heads moving. lifeforce theme is a tribute to the japan collective where he was resident dj for over 20 years. recordnition is a heavy percussion n philly disco burner that got that deep nyc disco feel all over it. nick definitely got the records.

milano producer turbojazz is back on gamm with food for cats vol.2 and this time he throws down fender rhodes fusion style with two full on jazz/latin/brazil-house assaults aimed straight for peak house jazz-dancin . both bara bara and the road is hard are full of tasty jazz samples (the heads will know whats up!) but are also equipped with additional production. and most importantly...they ll get u dancing !

london head aroop roy takes on brazilian rhythms for the 4th time on gamm and its quite possibly the best one yet. the working formula, simple but yet very well crafted to work both in clubs and for home listening. first off we get -flecha de foga- that uses a rare nazare pereira samba track as the foundation but with loads of added chords, beats and production details. on the flip todo mundo tem amor marries a driving analogue bassline to an amped up version of another sul americano classic - blazing !

dj, record label impresario and former swedish champion b-boy, mad mats knows a thing or two about finding good music. as well as iconic underground imprints raw fusion and gamm, mad mats is a partner in the highly regarded local talk label, making it highly probable that most of the world’s influential djs have at least one of his discoveries in their record bags.
for his first compilation on bbe, mats has put together a diverse selection of cuts, from reggae, hip hop and soul to boogie, electronica and house, reflecting his open-minded approach to djing.
