non worldwide co-founder chino amobi makes his vinyl debut with the soundtrack to choreographer ligia lewis� minor matter, a performance piece that deftly articulates an argument for minoritarian politics. most of the material is newly commissioned but one of the tracks, �locus of control�, is lifted from amobi�s provocative airport music for queer black and brown folk album, in which he follows brian eno in inducing the atmosphere of an airport terminal. but through the eyes of a black man and with 2016 realism, it�s a different story, where eno invites lullaby, chino unshackles nightmare

guitarist rolando bruno hails from buenos aires and got his start playing a raw brand of garage and punk with his band los peyotes. a few years back he took a step into the not-so-distant world of afro-peruvian psicodelico that s had a recent renaissance throughout south america. what made his early forays into a more tropical branch of fuzz so unique was his accompanying band-or lack thereof. armed with an electric guitar and self-produced and recorded backing tracks, rolando bruno and his orquesta midi jet-setted across europe and japan as a mad scientist one-man band, laying down a relentless style of chicha classica gone loopy that earned him several tours and a full-length album with the swiss imprint, voodoo rhythm. originally recorded in 2011 and now remastered and presented by names you can trust on vinyl for the first time, these two tracks are a glimpse into rolandos prolific electric madness and a lysergic-laced pointer towards things to come from the talented six-stringer.

the first compilation on the dresden based label shtum unites three label regulars and one newbie with four tracks suitable for rampant basements. -motorcity racers- has been on rotation for quite some time amongst the label heads and is the first sign from poland s chino on shtum. it floats somewhere between dirty detroit and the rough corners of the netherlands. leibniz delivers the -real life-, a relatively straight follow-up to his latest ep, while jaures hit their drum machines like there is no tomorrow. perm s cut is all loopy and succeeds in creating an irresistible atmosphere with just a few elements. the artwork comes courtesy of carl-johannes schulze.
