jimpster serves up the first single entitled crave from ahead of his forthcoming silent stars lp complete with remixes from atjazz and flabaire.in its original form crave, which features the vocals from hotly-tipped londoner florence rawlings, is an emotionally charged electronic torch song guaranteed to get inside your head from the very first listen. the spacey chords and punctuating string stabs bring hints of the 80’s to mind whilst florence’s gentle vocal floats in the air like a fresh sea breeze. in addition to the mesmerizing original we present two brilliant and contrasting remixes from one of the uk’s legendary producers atjazz as well as paris‘ rising star flabaire whose d.ko records has been dropping gem after gem since 2013. atjazz spins crave into outerspace with a fat, driving groove and twisted sonics making for an incredibly deep and forward-looking slice of aural gold. in contrast, flabaire looks back to the early 00’s for his classic soulful house rework which calls to mind the sounds of spinna and vintage naked music. closing the release we have another original track entitled where you are featuring berlin based us native khalil anthony. here we find jimpster doing what he does best, creating a sublime late night club track with his deft musical touch making this one that will stand out in the crowd
the production machine of atjazz never seems to stop. if reaching track 10 in his recent series of releases wasn t enough, we find out that he has been secretly remixing the entire project into the album mix 2 . this is a very consistent and collected selection of work written & remixes month by month to reach 10 track summit, well, actually now it s 20!. a full body of incredibly diverse house music to suit a wide range of tastes and supported by so many industry leading djs the world over. the track series featured at many festivals in 2017 due to it s big sound and played by the likes of louie vega, jimpster, catz n dogs, laurent garnier, mark farina, anane vega, dj spinna, art of tones, giom, osunlade, marcel vogel just to name a few. the whole series stuck fast to the online deep house charts for months to boot and featured in many other charts the world over. martin adds, i was overwhelmed at the response to be honest, i have so much work to do just for the label and artists and with my mastering work on top of that, at the time this was the only way i could get around to releasing an album, track by track and i enjoyed every minute!mix 2 is totally what you d expect from this uk stalwart, emotional, full-bodied, well-crafted house music! a few words to point out the styling of each track.
following up the release of atjazz & jullian gomes warmly received album big bad crazy, the guys brought in house music’s remix hero karizma to re-imagine one of the favoured album cuts love me. under his kaytronik moniker, baltimores beat-master loads up a rather subby floor workout with his iconic signature production style. as the first kick drops, its unmistakably kaytronik at the controls as he dubs out this intricate number to create something of wonder, producing a large & well polished usa sonic with incredible edge & bite
marc & oveous bring the classic bruk flavours to atjazz’s label with their new e.p. ‘on again’. the original harks back to the old co-op nights with a tough bass synth and oveous’ soul laden vocals, tied together behind a punchy, syncopated broken beat rhythm. dress to sweat, this one will make the bodies move. first up on the flip side the ‘4x4 dub’ switches the rhythm to a straight up 4x4 house beat, but that subby synth carries through the broken beat touch. the original mixes’ vocals are dropped in favour of one of oveous’ short spoken word monologues before he steps back to let the music do the magic. the ‘dubstramental’ gives you one final interpretation utilising the same dubbed out template as the b1, but reverting back to the original broken beat pattern to give you three different flavours to throw down with.
a classic karizma cut complete with brand new reworks brings the heat for rsd on atjazz s effervescent arc label. originally released on hustle back in 2006, new interpretations from atjazz himself & osunlade add a whole new vibe to the track set to wow fans of the original & newcomers alike.
after a storming 2016 celebrating twenty years of atjazz, where the master musician himself has spent the year jetting all over the globe performing shows to both loyal fans and new converts alike, atjazz record company is very excited to crown this hugely successful year with a release like no other. please allow us to present: that something else!
from the age of 13, jullian gomes secretly gambled every cent of his school lunch money on buying deep-house records, no doubt with the unknown knowledge that someday, these records would change his life forever. only a few people know this but jullian used to sneak, yes! sneak into local clubs in and around pretoria / tshwane from a very early age. at this time nothing could stop this young man being in the moment to enjoy the music that has now, amazingly, become his full time career. maybe his parents will be ok with the knowledge of his secret nightlife now knowing how incredibly skilled and loved their son has become throughout the world of dance music.

fox tooth was one of the big releases of 2015 on local talk. if you haven t heard it you probably dont remember 2015 at all! all we did was play fox tooth. now, a year later we re proud to present the fox tooth remixes. karizma aka kaytronik gets straight to the point, strips down the original and tensely builds the track slowly, keeping the groove on the bone. on the flip, peacy offers a remix with all the elements of the original, perfectly combined with a few tricks of his own, in a stunning new combination, it sure impresses.
long an unsung hero of the underground, langenberg (a.k.a max heesen) has a string of quality releases to his name, both on his own solo as a part of his ribn moniker with manuel tur. this outing on dessous recordings provides yet another string to his bow shadows is a supremely soulful outing featuring the vocal talents of blakkat. liquid deep and balanced perfectly between euphoric and melancholic, shadow sees mark bell (blakkat) deliver an emotional invocation over a beautifully crafted track, with echoes of the master larry heard clearly present. also included on the vinyl release are two extraordinary remixes, uk legend atjazz providing a sumptuously realized fusion of melody and driving, dance floor urgency. brooklyns house veterans frank & tony (scissor & thread) drop a huge remix of their own to complete the package - serving up their distinctive and timeless nyc deep and raw vibes to complement langenbergs original fully.
atjazz record company is pleased to welcome back prolific artist and dapper gent fred everything. from canada to the uk, this skillful and ever-present producer brings over 20 years of talent and experience to bear on this exciting new release.
atjazz on local talk! pretty good combo right? well, just wait until you hear fox tooth and we re quite sure you ll agree with us that this is something above normal rank. martin iveson aka atjazz gave us a release that will work just as well on big sound systems as well as in those dark house basements. the original version is an electronic house jam that s equipped with all necessary tools in order to peak in the main room but without all the played out tech-house schemes. it s uplifting yet dark and carves a very personal groove - yum ! oh, don t miss the killer break down...big! the second version comes in the form of his inspired atjazz galaxy aart dub and this to be fair is more of a remix than a dub. here we step straight down to the darkness for a warming deep house cut that sounds like something from the prescription archives but still retaining the trademark atjazz sound. this is simply, sophisticated house music for those who like things real.

played by: nick curly, cassy, prins thomas, raresh, robag wruhme, 2000 and one, agnès and many others !! swedish brandy productions brings you two killer-remixes by atjazz (mantis rec.) of andre zimmas (aka slope) broken beat afro-inspired track m.u.s.i.c. the original track was first released on their turbulence ep (sb010) with featuring acts like clara hill, colin corves and alex barck. atjazz, with his touch and magic, turns this track into strictly nyc pressure, that will do some serious damage across the globe. already played and charted by people like gilles peterson, onsulade (which directly requested the track for his compilation passage on bbe), karizma and opolopo to name a few. on the flipside atjazz delivers his stunning dub-mix, that carries a stripped smoking package of deep bass and dubby chords. so just drop the needle for a second, and you find that both cuts are essential dancefloor material with the purpose of making the crowd groove and move!.
tone control music continue the release pressure with their latest signing poussez vs. demarkus lewis with a superb new single titled passin thru featuring fantastic remixes from atjazz. teaming up with ace soulful vocalist, hannah khemoh (poettiquette, reel people) and dope keys player andy touch fingers (from jafar and touch of hustle music, artizan and more), passin thru is a killer slice of gorgeously deep dancefloor soul.
office gossip is the imaginary workday daydream of up-and-coming uk midlands producer nathan brody. nathan just recently offered a stonking remix of schmoov’s >spirits< ( road 004 ) which has been given the stamp of approval by dj’s like tom middleton or miguel migs and many more. >blue on black< is a meaty tech-disco track with a basslline which instantly clicks. on the b-side mantis recordings’ atjazz tunrs the track inside out and gazes at it’s underbelly. the result is a chunky acid house workout with all the trimmings and quality used from atjazz. as an extra treat he also handed in a pure acid house dub. dirty stuff!
it seems the return of robert owens to house music centre stage is assured with the release of love someone. the >redo< has been making waves over the summer months in the sets of the few djs that got hold of a copy. it has featured on both gilles petersons and pete tongs radio shows on bbc radio 1, and the calls keep coming as everyone wants to get their mitts on this moroder meets carl craig monster of a mix
