its been quite a long time since we invited other artists in to remix our tracks, given the great response to our lastest creation >the raw road<, we thought this was the perfect time to do it again. to this end, it is our great pleasure to welcome nic fanciulli and mark broom to give us their own unique versions for our 24th release. both artists represent different arenas of dance music that we love and both clearly take inspiration from very different paths.

after the success of their collaboration with paul thomas on last years festival anthem >arena<, mark knight and funkagenda join forces once again on one of the most eagerly anticipated tracks showcased at this years miami wmc.
>good times< is the feel good anthem of the summer comprising of a modest intro with a warbling bass line driving slowly through collecting sounds, before opening up into an edgy synth stab and finally the insanely catchy vocal hook >these are the good times<! the track drops back in like a speeding locomotive train going full steam ahead, with cleverly placed percussion, fx and siren sounds soaring to create an intense rhythm.
on the flip, >flauta magica< shows the diversity of these two acclaimed producers when they get in the studio together. taking a different route from the lead track and concentrating more on the groove, >flauta magica< chugs along nicely with an almost tribal percussive feel to it. the excellent chanting vox sample, reminiscent of the early house sound, keeps the groove rolling along into the drop. taking the lead from the tracks name, a whistling flute riff drops elevating the musical vibe to a new balearic level.

here we go with mark-henningÆs 2nd ep on frankie recs, 3 years after his promising first strike on the label. a two tracker ep titled ôvick for president epö - we start off with the a-side ôbiggity giggityö - a track of pure madness! comprising a mix of quirky sounds and distord harmonics synths, this is a great example of markÆs ability to combine both a solid groove and a dark atmosphere at the same time.. this song definitely kills it on the floor! on the flipside ômonsterö is even darker and more mental - combining subtle synths arrangements and bleepy fxs sounds itÆs perfect for late sessionsà two beautifully sinister, outstanding cuts!

the next remix project on the list for fergies excentric music imprint are two new interpretations of his fat track - question mark. on the a side yousef gives us a funky driving, classy rework with an awesome groove, tight percussion and big room feel. on the flipside there is a very clever interpretation from dan doran and antonio menez with its shuffled minimal groove and catchy synth hooks. another great package.

mark broom enjoys a reputation as one of the most consistently impressive producers of techno the uk has produced. a dj for over 20 years and with a back catalogue that shows success with most of the labels who have meant anything over the last 15 years, mark continues to set the standard to follow meltin pot is a classic broom groove. executed in a trademark-restrained style with subtle layers of percussion and funk-fuelled bass to create an infectious tech house wiggle

asd008 sees the return of alex krueger and a welcome one at that! this oneÆs 5 tracks deep (including a digital exclusive) and includes a pair of fine remixes from londoner-in-berlin, mark henning, ôblasted bitchö is tigerskin at his best. the title cut is a feast of sonic trickery, with sounds playing off each other beautifully to create a wide, dense soundscape which, paired with clipped percussion, clever dancefloor arrangement, evil laugh & crude vocal sample this one delivers tough. henning, a man known for his abilities with sound design himself, takes a darker route with his interpretation which, while still driving, is more of a heads down late night affair û riddled with oddball delays and some unnerving vox efx. ôwhat theö takes a turn to the darkside, moody, sharp, reveb laden and pulsing, the track is real heavy business watch out for that unholy belgian hardcore synth riff a la ômentasmö, thereÆs a real æmomentÆ in there. to round off the original cuts. responseö continues seeing tigerskin provide a straighter groove but one which displays some sterling keyboard work and strong break. finally, henning provides another remix of the title track as the digital only addition all too important these days. futuristic deep, tech-house is about as close as a description anyone needs for this superb final piece of an equally superb package.

jel fords jericho recordings has been busy of late releasing killer records from the likes of smith and selway and joel mull. this is another quality release to add to that list from brazilian hotshot - anderson noise. the original itself is a long driving spaced out bomb culminating in a killer e -dancer esque pitch bend synth line. on the flipside par grindvik really gets to grips with it and pumps it up into a thrilling piece with electrifying peaks and drops. what a release!

one of technos most diverse and prolific producers ‘mark broomis back again to demonstrate the definition of dub techno. this is a purist record through and through that unashamedly harks back to the classic chain reaction and basic channel sound, something that the world and its djs crave endlessly, and rightly so. all four cuts sail forth in calm warmth and steady bass, massive reverbs and echo are worked intermittently lifting everything upwards like a strong cosy breeze. the listener is forcibly bounced up and down in a gentle fashion, (we would expect nothing less than gentlemanly behaviour from broomer) and through proper application of decibels a full cellular body massage can result. this is essential dub for the techno journeyman out there. not only great to listen to, but also a helping hand with your exfoliation routine.

we are all prostitutes is a coverversion of the classic punk-no wave song from the pop group with original singer mark stewart. remixes are done by crookers (remixers for chemical brothers, bonde do role, funk mundial-man recordings), princess superstar (k7) and shadow dancer (boys noize). mark stewart is known from the pop group and his genreblending compilation kiss the future on souljazz . he has collaborated with artists such as the bug, alec empire, the on-u sound posse and many others.adam sky is known for ape x and galactic lover on kitsune as well as for his great remix for riot in belgium on headmans imprint relish. adam sky was responsible for seals hit killer in the 80ies under the name of adamski. on parasite, mark&adam team up for a new tune with guest vocals from angie reed (chicks on speed).

in 2002, carl craig was at the centre of a collaboration between some of detroits most talented musicians old and new, including motown session players percy hughes and ron otis - the result of which was the spellbinding detroit experiment. one of the highlights of this session was their re-interpretation of donald byrd and larry mizells classic think twice, which was transformed into a sublime and unique jazz-house hybrid by this disparate ensemble of techno and r&b heavyweights. to continue the theme laid down by the detroit experiment, we have enlisted the skills of the multi-talented henrik schwarz - no stranger to fusing musical styles. his amazing remix effortlessly combines organic and electronic elements, to create a stirring piece of modern electronic dance music which has already taken the roof off parties across europe and the us, with pre-release plays from djs as diverse as ame, giles smith, justin martin, dixon and kev beadle.
