ive been involved in two or three major genres that are very different from each other, says vaughn robert squire from canada, better known as prison garde, who is making his true romance debut with our trep009. about his melody ep, he says: its gospel-influenced house stuff. its in line with the last couple records that i put out, but i feel like its a little more mature and that the quality of the recording is a lot higher than anything else ive done as prison garde. i recorded it at the phi centre in montreal - its a beautiful cultural center in the old port. ango and i locked ourselves in there and did a live record on an ssl in a big room.

lost lp from 1977, rebuilt from original tapes, by the creator of black devil disco club the french electronic music pioneer behind black devil disco club, released three seminal library albums in the seventies: suspense (1975), cosmos 2043 (1977) and the strange world of bernard fevre (1977). a fourth album called orbit ceremony, produced just a few months after remained in his home studio and never saw the light, sentenced to almost 40 years in the devil’s vault. by chance, while working on the re-issues, bernard fevre recently found the original lost tapes of orbit ceremony, including the multi-tracks which he remastered himself. spacy moogs, weird clavinet, and cosmic analog drum machines: it’s all here. the quirky, cosmic library music found on this long-deleted 70&#8242,,,,s science-fiction-themed album is full of burbling synths and off-kilter melodies. there’s only one man on this planet able to produce such a crazy sound. as soon as you press play you know you’ve embarked on a special and unique ‘back to the future’ trip. don’t worry, fasten your seat belt and relax. captain fevre is taking care of everything.

having done such wonderful work alongside wolf muller on the sound of glades album, cass makes a welcome return with an expansive album release on emotional response. the german producer s ambient tendencies blossom here, occasionally meeting with laconic drums as on u but primarily dealing in huge swathes of melody. djs will want to hold out for the dramatic pulse of ann, where a more pronounced drum set makes for one of the album s most club-ready moments. theres a strong variety of tones and moods across youth sessions, from the strafing arpeggios of running to the bliss-out shapeless swirl of prismatic prolog, and this ensures that the album will not dull with repeated listens.

who is dj fett birger?? it’s dj fett burger, stupid. geography records straight outta malmö, sverige has awoken. please make room in your record collection for more stupid stuff from sweden’s third biggest city, home of great falafel and bad clubs. our fat friend from moss, norge takes some parts from shakarchi & stranéus eternal 2013 hit single ”either way” (geo 005) and turns it into a dreamy cheese-pop track ready for full, half-full and really empty dance floors. on the flip side the burg’ teams up with underground finnish talent stiletti ana for a literal take on the snl quote ”more cowbell”. please play it loud. for the third side of this single record release, burga’ fett flangs it out with a us style bonus beats, strictly for the djs! with this, you can play our record with an even nicer record on top! also perfect for shout outs, birthday wishes during sets or when you’re just really tired of melody and bass. all in all, a solid three track release to make it up to you that we forgot to release a record in like 1.5 years. sorry about that. geo 008 is already done, so don’t worry it wont be long until the next one! regards, adam & oscar

the original, with a well-constructed bassline incorporates a warm up melody that begins to set the tone for the night ahead. each layer is distinct as the track begins to build itself right to its crescendo when each of those individual layers collectively come together. you can distinctly hear the 80 s like synths that are cleverly inserted into the track which are highlighted by the female vocal samples. the grittier elements add a touch of darkness and instantly transport you to a warehouse club with an intimate atmosphere. the remix, done by the widely loved tech-house duo pleasurekraft jack up the tempo a notch, and add a bouncy groove to the track. where the original brought out a darker side, the remix is more upbeat and settles in well for a peak hour set. bringing that crisp bassline to the fore, and tuning out the melodies to make them a tad subtler it showcases a more tech-house version of the original. there s an added element a slightly more haunted vibe which is coupled together with those gritty and harder elements. all i can conclude is what a tech-house bomb this is from the highly talented pleasurekraft. they always manage to bring something new and unique to every single track they ve ever remixed which truly shows their remarkability as consistently good producers.

first up sees the new methodology track in full on dance floor assault mode - serious break-fuelled techno with rolling drums, off beat funk elements and big stabbing chords moving in and out of fx laden atmospheres at a fairly furious pace. the b side introduces yet another incredibly talented producer from the iridite stable - mike singleton is a regular dj at glasgow s internationally famous monox club as well as being one of the chief tech-heads and all round music know-it-alls at rubadub records. his track here will appeal to anyone who likes to be genuinely shaken up by a track - it s got the lot - cutting edge production techniques, heartfelt melody, intricate and complicated programming, bassline turning and twisting almost inside out, fantastic fx, but most of all >the funk<! methodology round things up with another mutant house/techno hybrid track - all shuffly percussion, filtered samples and a mournful, string laden climax, layered with weird bleep-ing riffs and super-sub bass

and here it is: the second vinyl ep of niko schwinds album >good morning midnight<. it features some of the unique tracks that niko has created together with some of berlins hottest production talents. on the a side are two tracks that feature the clicky tech-house boys that are channel x, where things kick off with >back from the bar<. it sounds as the title suggests: a little wobbly, a little drunk, a little crazy, but also pretty magic. quite clearly this is an homage to one of berlins not-to-be-forgotten clubs that is unfortunately history now. but things continue on here at least with >dont turn the lights on<, a more straightforward dancefloor track, with a trumpet as the main protagonist. this is one of those tracks that keeps leading up to a real arms-in-the-air-moment if it wasn’t so damn housy at the same time. on the flip the magical connection between niko and label daddy oliver koletzki can be heard on >master of ceremony<, a chopped-up house track with epic dimensions. when things get to the piano breakdown, they get very musical and colossal before dropping back into a great house track. the stark contrast between the piano melody and the groove on this really make it. last but not least then, the original album opener >good morning< that features the singing of fran. it works great as a great album opener, but also perfectly as a slower and more thoughtful addition to a great ep

>les patates<, the fresh new rrygular release by tassilo, one half of pan-pot, is not an homage to french agriculture but a serious techno smasher with high club potential. at first, theres just a nice party atmosphere and … then this rough beat drops in! the small potatoe >petite patate< surprises by adding rudimental elements like the hihat and snare drum always a little late. but you have the feeling you havent missed something yet. this number just sneaks from behind and lulls you in with billowing pads until you sense the final rave sound as a self-evident consequence of it all. the message by g-tech right before the drop proves right - there is not a lack of vibration here! its all about the mixture … and in this case its just felicitous: male choir, clanking cymbals and finally the riff that this track subsists on. tassilo knows how to send the short melody-figure through the different stages of sound design, even though it might have been lively enough without it. this gives the big potatoe >grosse patate< a level of dynamic, that most contemporary techno releases just dont provide.

the freaks from odessa with their full artist ep on triple visions flagship label. with the spanish invasion full on in progress, these boys show us how its done in the east. and we like it! 4 clubby techno tracks full of melody and driving bass. again another winner that will fit into any djs record box and will be played for a long time to come in the club!

>ave leo< is an homage to life. the three guys from pompelmoessap lay it on thick and dally over a tenderly melting melody, skillfully play with shakers, drum cuts and low deep down effects. evoking a conjuring atmosphere that gets under your skin. the groove is right. the sun rises, early in the morning at the club.
on the b-side you will find a collectible, an everlasting trip of melancholic club couch music with bob dylans cultural message from the 70ies. ion ludwig looks at >spiritual devil< as a kind of protest against all those 2d digitally recycled techhouse sounds, which are released every day en masse. here plays timeless music for connoisseurs who want to feel and think while listening. smoke some weed before listening. peace.

already supported by johnny d., someone else, laurent garnier, jennifer cardini, florian meindl, david keno.. erich lesovsky is the newest addition to stil vor talents exciting artist roster. here comes someone who is totally fascinated and absorbed by technology, someone who only performs as a live act in the clubs and - in the time of digital machinery - still works on constructing his own devices to make music with. after singles for wba and keno records, it is now the time for his first release on oliver koletzkis stil vor talent imprint and mr. lesovsky is very happy to be part of the family. so are we, of course! not only, but also because his first ep is a killer display of musical wizardry. it stars off with >bell a donna<, a minimal funk-laden piece of music that is mainly based on some crisp beats, many warm effects and sounds and a melody so simple, yet so encapsulating to capture the heart of every dancer in the club. this is oldskool minimal funk at its best! next up is >93 percent<, a title that might be misleading at first, because this track sounds more like 150 percent really. a great loop made of fidgety techno hi-hats and some wonderful warm analogue sounds - this could well be termed a new form of fidget techno. last up is >riot beatz<, an experimental display of minimal sound design, yet still very danceable. lots of crystal bashing beats, a pumping bass and many little effects - this will definitely be one for the dancefloor in the morning hours. not only does e. lesovsky seem a master of sound, his expertise seems to cover the perfect creation of warm, yet basic tech anthems and his influences seem to come from all sorts of musical directions, from hip-hop to funk to house back to techno. it is the easiness with which he delivers his music that makes his sound designs so special!

dj fex is an accomplished produced and dj. having released tracks on such labels as serial, brique rouge, hypnotic, dessous, visitor, gourmet or systematic, his reputation is not to be done. as a dj, fex is a resident at mix club in paris and resident of the famous parties kings.fex gives us one of his best work so far, totally in the vein of what he does on his own label robotronic. acid forever is a moody yet obsessive track with a strong melody. its not particulary acid sounding but the vibe is here and it stays forever! on the remix tip, man of the moment tommy four seven, always on top form when it comes to make people dance and mark o’sullivan, half of dk7 with jesper dahlbäck and half of mark & john with his cousin john, member of the swedish mafia, who has recently remixed mike monday and had a release on plastic city lately. overall a strong package of mixes again
