its been quite a long time since we invited other artists in to remix our tracks, given the great response to our lastest creation >the raw road<, we thought this was the perfect time to do it again. to this end, it is our great pleasure to welcome nic fanciulli and mark broom to give us their own unique versions for our 24th release. both artists represent different arenas of dance music that we love and both clearly take inspiration from very different paths.

canadian-based strict border (amirali shahrestani and iman habibi) were drawn together by their shared passion and love for electronic music.

olmeto, a small town in corsica, is infamous as the birthplace of the family vendetta. we chose the name as it has an air of mystery but also a bit of fire. we felt that we wanted a label with us as the only artists free to do what we want, how we wantà this is release number 23. all have been ours, and range across the house spectrum, vocal, minimal, tech and deep and probably a little of each in all. the raw road and madagaskar whilst different, are made from the same mood. a strong rhythm with elements brought in and out, like a good dj, you lock the groove and then begin to play around it. although all tracks are by us, we do bring in artists we like to remix from time to time. the raw road will be remixed by mark broom and nic fanciullli and they will join artist such as loco dice, green velvet and unkle who have both remixed tracks over the course of the label.

the spanish dj, producer and labelowner of suara records, ivan ramos alias coyu has a keen sense and a hot hand on selecting his production-partners. together with edu imbernon he released >el baile alemßn< on liebe*detail which hits the dancefloors everywhere and is maybe the most played track right now. togehter with uner, who is a studied bassist, they bewitched us with two unbelievable fresh groovy funky housetracks. this ones gonna hit summer 2009 for sure!

soul camps smashing dubbed out, boogified original ( released on scr007 ) returns in 4 mixes by a finger-licking allstar cast. sense records artist soul parlor donats a laid-back, smoked out off-beat funkster with blinding rhodes, edgy, sharp beats and futuristic sounds galore. french production team affol’man keep the funk level high but this time embeded in a raw, slow-burning 4/4 groove that shows some oldschool hip-hop attitude. martin landsky and michael vater ( aka phonique ) represent the intim label in fine style: stripped down with loads of room for the original organ pads, subtle percussion patterns in the background and a dangerous bassline with a dub leaning. hamburg house messengers snider ( silver recordings ) and titus keep it on the dub side with a growling, slow-burning groover that twist your heads with some strange, haunting string stabs and hits you low at the same time with it’s gnarling analogue bassline. top-notch package bringing the goods for just everyone!
