so here we are, 2006 and gourmet is about to put out release number 33! after spending lots of energy putting out the barcode trilogy we thought it best to get back to doing something a bit more manageable. the first idea was to go on permanent vacation as were lazy by nature, but instead we decided to start a new remix series inventively called redux.
the original is a monster on the dancefloor , we ve been dropping it for months now and had enormous feedback wherever we played it. it will take dirt crew recordings into another direction and will continue where the tigerskin release left off. a new and fresh view on minimal and trance but never forgetting the house groove and that s what it s all about for us. the b-side features a cool old shool approach to the track by mr c who has been a long time partner of francis and is also involved in his matter:-form label. he takes the main groove of the record and adds some nice acid lines to it , all in a true 808 based groove , real analogue power !!

'point of fainting' is actually a true story about a stranger calling up and whispering 'you gotta help us!' û scary thoughààbut with that great music on top just a genius and a break you will be quite irritated as a dj!
>effective< on the a-side is one of those tracks with a very special groove. simple, but strongly effective. dry twittering sounds on top, keep with the clicks and all is well. the b-side >been in glue<, is another 100% sureshot. you can hear the classic traffic signs sounds from the release. it is this very unique formula, the mixture of jackin beats, dry bass and short melodies what makes you groove on and on and on and on…
