7.19 FM DAVID EP
12 Inch
23.11.05
underground darling mathew jonson with another extra-large three track stunner: right from the start swirling synth over a pinching beat suck you into a vortex before a rubbery bassline takes the lead and an electrical storm of dark, haunting sounds wrap you in. well, words dont do this truly symphonic oeuvre no justice - this has to be experienced in the dark and in earsplitting volume. on the flip mj gives free reign to his unlimited creativity with an impressive soundtrack-style tableau of electronic jazz, sounding like late bass-revolutionary jaco pastorius descending form the outerworld to interveave some of his crazy warbled, bend notes into a messianic david axelrod arrangement, mixed at lee scratch perrys echo chamber. miles above your typical pain-by-numbers club fare - simply huge!

chris carrier and dj wild aka catwash add to crack & speed the second vital attribute of youth rebellion trinity - sex - and swap rock n roll for heavy funkin tech-house ( nevertheless rockin though ): on come to me dj wild looms large his sugar daddy impression spurting out some real sleazy perverted lyrics over a perfectly paced romp-shaking beat and a fat penetrating bassline that gives birth to a drilling acidline escalating slowly to climax in classic wild pitch style. the flip seems to be dedicated to a less frivolous physical exercise...

FINANCIAL ADVISORY
12 Inch
04.11.05
the consumer seems to bring up some 'advisory' with a wide range of styles going from the simple and raw oldschool side of electro to the more fine and digital sound combined with a lot of mad and dark lyrics that brings each track a little higher. 6 very different tracks with a lot of surrealism and 3rd dimension and still you find some tracks with a simple structure - keeping it all down to earth. the consumer-sound can be described as a unique atmospheric, but yet very dry and sharp sound that includes alot of small crazy elements
I DONT LAA / LUKE SOLOMON MIX
12 Inch
03.11.05
coming stateside with this very freakish/dlc-styled track, a perfect pairing for select imprint. the original i dont laa features a rubbery euro/german bassline with some diz-like vocals and cut-up clicky electronic drums - sleazy, greasy stuff thatll appeal to a nice range of electro-house djs. remixes come fromthe midas alums honest cars who turn in a gritty, rock-flavored electro-pop that could fit nicely in with the angrosso/prydz fans, and freak-meister himself luke solomon who completely flips the vocal over a buzzing and burbling acid backing track. mental gear for only the most twisted dancefloor sessions here

GET DOWN / TONITE
12 Inch
01.11.05
break 3000 and adam kroll take quite some chances in naming their first collaboration 'get down' cause in the golden era of funk and disco every second track that was produced to 'just' get people on the went by this title ( a quick namecheck on allmusic.com confirms close to 300 entries ). well, our two protagonists surely had a few of those blueprints in mind as they clearly quote some of the main characterisitcs - handclaps, pulsating moroder style bassline, extra thick slap bass, robotic voice - mix them up with a few drops of acid, a rough guitar riff plus majestic paino chords and distill everything to a luiquid, sleek state-of-the-art house funker. the flip is more introspective and very atmospheric with darker, moody chords, yet the galloping square bassline and the omnipresent sharp highlight make sure that 'tonite' theres no parking on the dancefloor. when the players arrivea the club...beware
