adesse versions started out as a re-edit series, with humble ambitions of releasing a couple of white labels, nothing more, nothing less. it kept growing with both original productions and remixes appearing. it didn t take long until tracks such as pressured, modal and justified appeared on charts and the records found their way to such esteemed people as derrick may, larry heard, gilles peterson and of course mad mats & tooli. since then it s been an ongoing theme with kevin gormans music, yes that s his real name. always well received and played by many.

atjazz on local talk! pretty good combo right? well, just wait until you hear fox tooth and we re quite sure you ll agree with us that this is something above normal rank. martin iveson aka atjazz gave us a release that will work just as well on big sound systems as well as in those dark house basements. the original version is an electronic house jam that s equipped with all necessary tools in order to peak in the main room but without all the played out tech-house schemes. it s uplifting yet dark and carves a very personal groove - yum ! oh, don t miss the killer break down...big! the second version comes in the form of his inspired atjazz galaxy aart dub and this to be fair is more of a remix than a dub. here we step straight down to the darkness for a warming deep house cut that sounds like something from the prescription archives but still retaining the trademark atjazz sound. this is simply, sophisticated house music for those who like things real.

no stranger to the house scene, kiko navarro is a dj and producer whose productions, remixes and edits have appeared on an impressive list of labels for many years.

new year, new release and a new local talk member to introduce to you all - lets all welcome merrick. this young wiz kid steps up to the plate with a three track sweaty and headstrong release for our local talk off shoot ltx. developed deep inside his sound lab somewhere in europe, using dark grooves and dusty chords as the foundation - this release leaves you in no doubt where his current position is - in the club. from the opening track do that with its chunky grooves and warm basslines via the scene, a basement deep house track that ll satisfy all the moodymann fans out there. the last track, devils dance, keeps us hypnotically locked from start to finish with its rich and warm chords, have a listen - youll understand why.

it has been local talk bosses mad mats & toolis secret weapon during their dj sets over the past months and have destroyed clubs from london to berlin. with a super catchy chord theme, bumpy 4/4 beats and a slight uk feel this is as bad as it gets. it is just one of those tunes you immediately recognise and can relate with. together with a deep journey house remix from ad bourke and a fierce uk inspired bass/house mix from colognes hade we dare to say that this is one the finest releases on local talk so far. original bristol cat crackazat (now residing in uppsala, sweden) got a sound that fuses jazz theories, electronic 4/4s with a deep uk underground mentality. think underground resistance meets floating points and your almost there. somewhere else is the second single from crackazat on local talk and in early 2015 he will drop his debut album crescendo on local talk.

we are very honoured to welcome the cologne-based producers hade + gutta to the local talk family. their debut release marks a further development of the local talk sound, balancing between house & bass. the ep kicks off with *nothing wrong*, a track built around a bouncy bass riff that lingers and weaves around a clever vocal splicing. *in me* continues where *nothing wrong* left off but adds more depth and ingenious stabs, it is a 100% bouncing track for sure. ending the ep is hades solo number *baphome*. a bass fuelled floor packer with nicely interwoven synths and a hypnotic house groove that remains present throughout the track. in conclusion - a garage-esqe belter with the right amount of wobbly bass to satisfy all your dj & dance floor needs.

javier & luis garayalde aka kyodai are back on local talk with their third release since the debut *breaking* back in 2012. as always we are thrilled to present new tracks from the duo whose been integral in establishing local talk. the pace is set with the first track *konbanwa*, showcasing the duos phenomenal skills in creating something both classic and modern by fusing a tight and driving groove, tension building chords and a bumpy bass hook to great effect. believe us when we say it has been an absolute highlight in our dj-sets thru out the summer. on *so special* the brothers go back to their roots and create a track that has got both the sound and feel of their previous tracks *breaking* and *the scene* - in other words, another big track from kyodai!

we are celebrating 50 release on local talk and what better way to do it than welcome alexander lay-far, the moscow-based dj and producer to the family.

mr saag is back for his third release on local talk, *in the box* and this time he went all in. this 12 provides a meaty affair with firm drums, well-treated vocal snippets, organ hooks and the works. the opening track *in the box* uses strong synth stabs to full effect and the marriage of percussive and crunchy rhythms in this track is saag at his best. it is so good we decided to include a drum track of it too! *suddenly i woke up* is basement house with organ hook, afro percussive rhythms and a bassline from the deep depths of detroit.

its time for local talk to go local again with another swedish producer, eric ericsson. with numerous releases out in labels like planet e, fragile and freerange he is one of those producers with one foot in the techno scene and another in the more soulful house scene. basically, he is not a one trick pony! for his release on local talk we would say he lands somewhere between classic chi-town house and thumping nyc house groove but without sounding too retro or washed out. its simply real house music!

sometimes it is best to let the music do the talking, this is one of those occasions. local talks 46th release comes from exciting debutant sameed. little did we know about sameed before we got the four tracks for this 12 inch, for all we know it could be your neighbour. quick-firing the release is spend, functional as a set highlight with its dubby chords, vocal snippets and a wonky bassline. included on the b-side is a dub that will work perfect as a dj tool for those who want to go a little bit deeper. showcasing sameeds sense for keeping things stripped down and sweaty, still is a dirty exercise in acid witchcraft while getyoself can best be described as a delicately raw rhythm with dark textures.

when luke solomon got in touch and said he wanted to work with local talk we felt both honoured and happy, especially since we have been fans for a long time and mats actually booked him to his raw fusion club in the late 90s. he has been around long enough to be considered a legend within the scene. we couldnt agree more. lost channels, a 130 bpm piano driven and punk-dubby new york inspired house track comes in two versions. the raw & stripped version is exactly what the name says, sharp snares & hi-hats, piano chords, a driving rhythm with lukes trademark percussion sprinkled on top. the live piano version is actually the original version and is peppered with more of everything. bubbly fx, more of that staccato piano and of course that muscular bassline. for remix duties it is the return of an old local talk friend, wil maddams. it seems like wil has spent some time in detroit since last time. this remix sounds like something that would come straight out of the d, his clever drum programming holds this track together with its deep pads and bubbling bassline. it is a retro (but fresh) techno jam for 2014.

the second release in 2014 is yet another debut on local talk, the german trio tim vita, oliver gehrmann, xaver hirsh serve up their take on house music, jazzy and deep , warm & organic-sounding tracks. from the energetic yet jazzy opening track jazzclub to the to the forward pushing street sounds, they’ll have you smiling and vibing in no time. the flip, blessed munchkin, cleverly drawing things to a close and showcasing their jazz influences. simply put, their trinity ep is inspirational house music down to its soul. local talk is talking to you!

bristol native and musical wiz benjamin jacobs aka crackazat dazzled us since the first time we heard him a few years ago on futureboogie with his deep and jazzy electronic house not house sound. after a move to sweden and refining his characteristic music profile you will now find hints of floating points, faltydl, lone or underground resistance in his productions. its dance + music at its best and something truly special if you ask us! after a killer track (size up) on local talks off shoot label oneoffs and a bumpin piano remix for tony blitz our man crackazat is now here with his first solo release on local talk ... the candle coast ep. all three tracks are winners by themselves and its seriously tricky to single out any of them so its just up to you to choose your favourite cut. it wont be easy we tell you!

our favourite swedish house duo is back…more dirty than ever! the follow-up to the previous eps moody & trapped is nothing short of brilliant. waisted with its plucked strings is classic deep house held together by a bumpy groove, soulful vocals & slick keyboard but still maintaining the formula that defines dirtytwo and their finest work to date. talking 2 u is where dirtytwo gets deep down and gritty. chunky house chords, a meaty bassline, cut-up voice samples in full basement effect. flip over for the hard on edit of talking 2 u which goes one step further adding some acid lines and a raw basement feeling. a dub for those who seek a more raw and heavier tool. local talk is talking to you!

anaxander make a welcome return to local talk following the mighty local talking ep released earlier this year which got support from heavy weights like rolando, ben sims, recloose, ben westbeech and many more. on this release he drops the bpms and let the machines do the talking. both candy stand and my aniseed lollipop are perfect examples of how to lay down an acid track sparse but bold percussion frameworks to contain that all important, tension laced 303 work - perfect for ballrooms and basements alike!

every label needs a strong summer release and we are pretty sure we found ours for this summer. from the very first second we heard this demo from stockholm based producer claes rosen (1/2 of dubstep duo l-wiz) we knew this would be one of our fave releases on local talk. seriously, its a real beauty! with a slight r&b touch, melodic chords and thumping house rhythms both tracks have that perfect contrast of soulful deepness and an uplifting feel. on the a-side daydreaming is a club friendly track with a bumpy house rhythm and smart r&b samples…the perfect summer tune! the b-side with wonderful is exactly what is says it is…wonderful! it is deep soulful house at its very best and music that puts a smile on your face every time your hear it. all in all its a fantastic package of exquisite house music ... enjoy the summer folks :)

here we present good vibrations, the debut ep on local talk from canadian producer orazio fantini. the best thing with this ep is that it is simply straight up house music that is both deep yet raw and funky all at the same time. basically, its very local talk ,) first track, to the ball, starts off with a bubbling bass line, followed with shuffling hi-hats and swinging beat that is glued together by glistering synth stabs, infectious to say the least. turn the record over for feel it, which showcases fantinis clever use of vocal samples blended together with the perfect swing and last not but not least, on hold is a stripped track but with all the necessary elements to make the feet move.

with local talk release no. 30 we are moving further into territories of straight up no fuss dance floor action. already having releases on dirt crew recordings, murmur & hypercolour elef knows a thing or two about delivering jacking tracks. wake up call comes in two versions. the original version is a kick & snare pattern driven monster track with heavy arpeggios and deep pads. on the flip brennan green doesnt hold back either. the main melodic pattern together with percussions is unleashed straight on and as the tracks evolves he adds tr-303 lines making the track even more epic. as elef described the remix as perfect for a panorama bar set. the remix is worthy enough based on that one side alone.

the atmospheric deep house builder brothers & sisters comes in two different versions and is everything we could wish for, deep, punchy and masterfully produced house music, sounding right at home on local talk. the pm atlantic version will do the work for the early sets and am pacific is the perfect end of the nighter. finishing off is legacy, a track where groove and dedication is the keywords, a guaranteed weapon in any djs bag in the coming months. all in all, three tracks of the kind of nuanced deep house weve come to expect from the brilliant fred everything

having marked himself out as a producer to keep an eye on with his previous releases on tusk wax, hot waves & glasgow underground we are proud to welcome lee webster to the local talk family.lee keeps it pretty much straight forward on all night vibes ep and delivers a neat package of four to the flour house tracks, bouncy with strong vocal hooks and memorable melodies all the way. punch a crocodiles wonky bassline, the airy chords in get lost, the vocal samples in wax your body and lean rhythm in all night vibes are all fine indicators of where lees real talent lies and makes him a great fit for local talk. sometimes simplicity is the key to make your tracks memorable and this young cat knows how to work it like that. local talk is talking to you!

last year kyodai dropped breaking, which to date is the biggest selling release on local talk. now the brothers are back with in our opinion a future house anthem. the scene is a classic piano house cut that’s impossible to resist and together with one the coolest vocal samples we’ve ever heard we think this has the potential to go really big. when the breakdown drops we’re pretty sure everybody in the club will chant. but as if this was not enough we also got another big tune on the b-side. moving is the continuation of “breaking” and goes along the same lines with its crossover jazz styled house. once again kyodai delivers a supa solid house production with large jazz breakdowns and old school vocals that’s right up their with ”breaking”. this is also why we called it…breaking pt.2. kyodai is currently working on their debut album for local talk which is due later this year. they’re also travelling around the world with their amazing live dj set that we highly recommend. trust us when we say that these two brothers really now how to turn up the heat in a club…serious biz!

we are super stoked to have this killer ep out on local talk as we have been big fans of both c.r.s.t. and chesus productions for good while now. as these guys are down with both house music and the uk garage scene we get served an ep that combines the best of both styles. the result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic new jersey zanzibar club or in your dirty london basement club. the first three tracks (monster munch, newark and life) takes us on a deep and jackin house trip with a bouncy garage twist. but to stir things up a lil extra the last track (special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples ... perfect for the southport weekender crews!

its time to celebrate our 20th release on local talk and we do it with a very special release. mike sharon might not be a known name yet but trust us, this guy is going places and his ep for local talk is one of those eps that lives up to everything we believe in when it comes to house music.

one of the most anticipated comebacks on local talk is finally here! their debut on local talk >moody< caused a big stir on the house charts and made the #01 at traxsource deep house 100 and still gets praise from djs all over the globe including karizma, steve bug, joey negro, the revenge and kerri chandler. the dynamic duo is now back with a even stronger ep doing what they do best, delivering two stunning vocal house tracks. the reaction mad mats & tooli got when they heard >trapped!< was unanimous -­- tune alert! using a colonel abrams acapella from 1985 and fusing it with a jacking track that retains the spirit of the dirtytwo sound & can only cause one thing, dancefloor mayhem. on the flip is >i m feelin< - a slighty more modern house burner that features old friend and pre dirtytwo fame spanka! vocalist frosche.

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. with the second release on local talks reissue sub label, 1nce again we bring back one of our personal underground favourites from the golden age of house music (the early 90s). back in 1994 mateo & matos released an ep on black label records entitled raw elements, which included an amazing cut called >maw basics<. its one of those raw 90s house jams that got the house bump but without the pump, its rough and funky but still deep if you know what we mean? no cheese in sight! together with the original track (now fully re-mastered) we also asked gerd (4lux, ny stomp) to make a remix that would stay true to the original but still bring it to the next level. the result is absolutely amazing and we are pretty confident that this baby will deliver knock out punches every time it blasts through a massive sound system in a proper club.

nicolas audren aka dj steaw is a dj / producer based in rennes (france). his productions reflect his inspiration for deep house, funk, afro and especially the raw old school elements in house music. this release takes us back to the classic house sound somewhere in between kerri chandler & mood ii swing and has been a secret weapon of ours for some time now. from the funk & organ groove in >i want< to the lush chords and big piano breakdown in >sky hunt<. house dancers and fanatics of good vibes be aware! essential is the right word for the white journey ep.

the two brothers known as kyodai strike back, showcasing their phenomenal musical education on local talk. what else to expect from a duo that gained respect from musical heavy weights like masters at work, jimpster, gilles peterson and releases on freerange & nitelife. on >breaking< the beats and bassline are in constant motion, building the track with suble hooks into an epic breakdown which tears the track apart and then rebuilds it even bigger. the 90s mix is a stripped down version of the original, with that organ hook we all love and refuse to stop dancing too, accompanied with strings and percussion that ties the whole track together and brings back memories of a hot and sweaty sunday afternoon at body & soul, in the 90s! local talk is talking to you!

next up on the much hyped local talk label from stockholm comes a straight up house burner from polish dj and producer tanzlife. with a combo of soul drenched vocal samples and jackin electronic house theories tanzlife has got a big club winner ready to drop. the ep delivers two outstanding tracks entitled heart attack and cold fire, both with a seriously classy house feel that really hits the spot if you have been a fan of local talks previous releases. even before the tracks were signed to local talk they gained support from such diverse djs like claude von stroke, dj ionik (traveller rec) and dairmount (room with a view). local talk is talking to you!

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. for our first release we have gone back to 97 and a producer known and respected worldwide in the house music community with more than 200 production credits under his belt. joshua michaels aka joshua iz perhaps best known for his collabs with dwayne washington as iz & diz but has of course used many other pseudonyms over the years for releases on labels like prescription, balance, classic, junior boys own, om and guidance. the return was first released on heard, sub-label to tom middletons evolution / universal language productions ltd. using his moniker circulation. the track can easily be described as a mammoth house track, clocking in just over 12 minutes. its one of those pieces of music that’s stood the test of time and why iz has been a major force in electronic music for so many years. on the flip much hyped duo prommer & barck stripped it down from its original costume leaving not much left of the source material resulting in something that we best could describe as old school warehouse meets uk bass. its pretty raw and definitely a basement sureshot!

release number four on upcoming swedish label local talk brings more of that local talk talent, this time we are presenting an ep by swedish producer andreas saag. andreas is no newcomer to the scene, with releases on freerange, a room with a view, rebirth, deepermotions, artizan and tokyo dawn records out and remixes for laurent garnier, joy orbison, portformat and danny howells, he has become a favourite among many djs and producers. his debut for local talk, back to life ep, contains two stunning house jams that aims straight for the dancefloors. the main track is a piano and strings driven house monster that almost sounds like an updated version of >strings of life< but with a deep/tech feel. should be big in the main rooms! on the second track mr saag delivers a house cut that sounds like its straight out of south africa with a raw tech/afro feel. its dark, deep, percussive and 100% house!

almost a decade after debuting the event series, audiotheque releases its first ep, including three tracks by various local artists. the first one, mikes jam, comes by berns new power duo frank spirit. it is a puristic, full analogue house jam, finalized on mike huckabys personal request. rbma graduate cclinic joins for a2. talk silver is a groovy house track which stands out for its prominent baseline and the inclusion of balearic and nordic elements. long-time audiotheque resident dj robel rounds out the record. fasiga is straight and clear, yet impulsive and fun.

the very first release of 2018 from eureka!, is the well known parisian sampling master s3a (sampling as an art) with his perfect definition between underground quality emotional house music and dancefloor efficiency. he released from lazare house records, hold youth, concrete music, local talk, phonogramme and faces and with his background culture based on a solid knowledge of house music, soul, funk made him one of the most promising house artist of the french scene. mountain charr contains 3 tracks in completely different styles. doop doop is definitely a sound of s3a, with characteristic vocal cut up by adding powerful horn section and melodic piano loop. emotional m1 is classic yet warm and cosy low deep groove track that is playable regardless of a time or place, from lounge to dancefloor. to complete the package we have denials , a more down tempo offering, but its melody is fascinating and yes, sexy. this ep definitely brings you his predominant sense of sampling.

it does not happen that often any more that unreleased music from 40 years ago surfaces. even more unlikely it is that the songs put on tape are such treasures. the voltags were right at the forefront of the local washington dc new wave/punk scene of the late 1970s. influenced by kraftwerk, gary numan, the clash, and the b-52 s, they have released only one 45rpm single during their existence. but during the time span of not even 18 months, they had recorded enough material for an entire album but the songs remained in the can. this is the story of the voltags, a short-lived band which could have become famous and mentioned in the same breath as the aforementioned music legends of that era if their songs had been released back in the day. dive in and enjoy the sound of the voltags, it is truly special. we here at perfect toy are thrilled to be label to finally release their work and we sincerely hope that they are finally getting the appreciation they so richly deserve

for those of you wondering what adesse versions was doing at our heist boiler room this summer in london, the answer is here. the “push it along” ep for heist is adesse versions first appearance on our label and features 4 stunningly raw and warm originals, and an amazing remix by new york’s ambassador of funk: ge-ology, together with multi-instrumentalist marc de clive-lowe on keys. after having released numerous records for jackmaster’s numbers, local talk and toy tonics, we’re happy to welcome adesse versions to the heist family. when he sent us his demo’s we had the tough job to choose the right tracks, cause there were just too many. the selection on the “push it along ep” features what we feel are his purest work up to date. with only a small amount of elements, he manages to create such a big and warm sound, finding a great balance between gritty percussion, rich analog synths and funky sampling work.

the bush is a homage to the place where i have lived for the last decade (askew road). the askew road itself is slowly changing so i wanted to document all the places that play a big part in mine and my families lives before they eventually get sold for more flats or tescos. first up was peckings studio 1 record shop, which has been on this stretch of road since the 1960s. next up is the mighty sun pub which became a local talking point when they sold the place because a sign sat in the window that announced this bup is close.

southern moon is the first pre single of the upcoming munk album and comes with remixes by hnny (local talk) and darius syrossian (hot creations).. with its crisp house beat, funk baseline and beautiful singing of lizzie paige this track is a shiny little summersong that makes you think of the great production of trevor horn or masters at work with a new edge.
