part 2/3! deep house – uh killer?! dear gorge just like we know him. hardly anyone puts so much energy into a yet so low key appearing track and this is what we love him for. gorge was a history witness for our biggest light installation and the most oppulent feast, as is his right. certified ass-shaking tune with a joyous organ going hand in hand with a female vocal. there is no more to say about this track as it speaks for itself. reminiscing igors 10 minute intro in combat gear at the treibgut deluxe. some push did jonas put into this few minute collaboration track with mz sunday luv. it has to be loud, it has to run – it has to take its place on this compilation. homebased in frankfurt jonas was so fond of hannover at a time that he almost moved north. but we could not afford the hotel room for such a long time. deep house making you get rid of your jacket and shake your hips together. get yourself a drink at the bar and head for the dancefloor. nicely smooth this track is driving you into the night. the only night we actually had champagne and still could all make it to the train to hamburg in the morning.

lunar disko records begins 2012 with a milestone 10th release from local hero automatic tasty, aka jonny dillon. the strange terrain ep is the eagerly anticipated follow up to his debut 12inch. in it for the money on ldr. the amusing keep your receipt kicks off the ep, where the idiosyncratic mr. tasty makes a cameo vocal appearance on why you should have eh kept your receipt! beannach mhor is next up,and is a fine example of how the auto tasty sound is evolving ever more. the up-tempo over the hill completes the a-side, a rumbling 101 bassline beneath catchy keys continue the automatic tasty explorations of the strange terrain. the lunar favourite tropic exchange begins the flip side with more vintage sounds crafted with dexterity to create that unparalleled automatic tasty sound. completing the ep is small hours, a rolling 808 jam with twinkling imaginative melodies that makes for a perfect ending to another timeless ep.

folllowing the black ep and the tangerine ep comes the blue third ep in third ears detroit beatdown project. the blue ep rocks from start to finish. including brand new material by ibex, keith worthy, norm talley and exchange bureau meets john arnold

again the tracks were selected carefully, each of them strong on personality and waiting to burst out and put the willies up anyone who believes that techno can be pigeonholed. cue bjorn svin (of mand over board fame) and a brooding monster of a tune that briefly saw a release on his excellent 1999 lp benene pa nakken and was included on the la monde (aka len fakis) at the wheels of steel mix cd the following year. believe that this track is a killer one of those inspired pieces of techno that sticks in your head for days after hearing it for the first time next up label boss jerome hill lets his bass out in the comedic rel und pol, a dancefloor workout with a syncopated speech running throughout. flip over for rob stow and im going to kill her put simply this is nasty (in a nice way) a riff that tears you a new one and edits and tricks galore, this ones gonna give the speakers a battering! last but certainly not least, switzerlands ki yota from mercurochrome and mental industries steps up to deliver us an apocalyptic anthem with wowwow bass, that swiss percussion and lead riffs all snaking around, finally building to a satisfying climax over and out

new release on dae by this prolific group with successful releases on paper recordings, diy discs, winding road and many classic remixes. summertime hits here starting with the swingin hot flash, coming hard with a nice walking bassline, searing chords and a killer sax riff that rocks with deepness. next up is exchanges, a midtempo house number that just keeps coming. built around a repeating vocal, this one will absolutely get things going when that analog bassline drops and a massive build up will really take it to the next level. flip for the swirl, that picks it back up and knocks it home. lush keys, great percussion and a lovely vocal sample all the elements you need for a classic deep house jam. last up is the swirl manuel turs bubble basics mix. manuel is on a roll at the moment and this mix certainly shows us why. with a unique touch he creates a deep jazzy thick sound with an additonal key riff that builds beautifully. quality for sure
