positive not happy label owners the lumens are coming back with the follow up of their label debut. same as the first release, -vetro ep- has two original tracks and two guest remixes. both -sparse- and -vetro- original mixes have the typical driving rhythms of the duo, combined with unceasing 303ish acid lines and deep chords, resulting in a shiny and addictive club vibe. on the remix task, we have the popular berlin groove maestro diego krause, delivering a killer straight house beat rework, on the flip side pennyroyal after tea co-founder ricky leo signs a deep and classy techno interpretation. more quality and avant-garde grooves from positive not happy, setting their own standard a step further.

donnerstag. in german, day of thor, the scandinavian god of thunder, where the strength of this curious ep lies. this vinyl travels along a path of different textures of sound and style. starting with mirnha s -the label s founder-dancefloor techno to open a second door to omar amo s -aka magoo- groovy techno. the b side delights us with touches of excellent acid by diego cid (arg). both artists are members of the notorious group -urban groove-, which has edited in solid labels such as kumquat records, illegal alien records, beathey recordings, among others. the disc tops off with progressive techno in charge of lucas vazz (cl) -inherencia s resident- impregnated with fine and cosmic berliner sounds.-

vinyl only .. space is most definitely the place as far as the latest vinyl adventure from us here at future reactions is concerned. with galactic references aplenty, futuristic soundscapes and more than a hint of interstellar travel on the analog core ep, the only thing missing is an astronaut suit. manning the controls of this otherworldly craft is josé rico, a key figure in themadrid underground scene through his associations with the downbeat and freebeat labels, who blasts off with the raw emotional electronica of orion. that man rico also features alongside the much-vaunted leonid (dolly/sistrum/statik entertainment) under their joint studio guise of cygnuss. having made their debut on freebeat earlier this year with the well-received long player night drive, the duo are on a mission here to warm-up the dance-floor with their house-not-house rocket journey to outertape. hailing from buenos aires but with a sensibility rooted in chicago and detroit, diego perrisson caught the attention of the more discerning ears as co-owner of the short-lived but not-forgotten label monochromatic. turning heads once again with his new venture, fundamental sounds, perrisson captains a smooth touchdown with the cultured deepness of restless ride.
