frenchman frederic faupain(aka fuzz) is a veteran of afro, latin and mediterranean sounds. under aliases such as sofian rouge, mr.fuzz and jack in da box hes recorded for labels such as deep touch, filtered, soulgroove and grab recordings. here,he drops the mr and just becomes fuzz for tropicanas 2nd single. on the a side, the original highlife mix is deep down and discofied afro house. imagine nile rogers & chic getting down in lagos. classic discohouse beats with juju style guitar and vocals for an uptempo and feel good mix.on the flip, fuzz takes us down into the rainforest, with a deeper and darker mix, while still retaining the musicality of the original version
