autodiscotheque return with a mighty release by one of their favourite maverick producers and djs danny berman. with releases on tirk, untracked, deep freeze and society, danny has made a big impression with his mixed up approach to production and djing. from the wonky house of the hot coins material released on tirk, to the more classically detroit outings under his red rackem moniker, danny is a music lover with an ear for the not so obvious and the left of centre musical territory.on this release which features both his musical personas simultaneously, the idea was to truly represent the difference between the red rackem and hot coins sounds on a single release, and to recreate an intense peak time feeling, but to do it from these two completely different scenes.place for me is detroit inspired heads down, cut up motown soul business, which pays homage to one of dannys favourite producers moodymann, and fits perfectly into that crossover space between slo-mo house and disco. chinese electro on the flip however, references that authentic early 80s new wave electro sound, and is influenced by yellow magic orchestra and recordings from new wave radio shows like belgiums liaison dangereuses

kenneth james gibson is a man of many different personas. the list of his releases over the past years is way too much for this infosheet, so lets skip this part for now. under the moniker of apendics.shuffle hes visiting mos ferry prod. for the third time. >you got my harmony< is not only a title for this e.p. you can take this phrase literally. his sound fits the label like few others. along with his two extremely grooving tracks >finding harmony< and >you got my< the package also contains two remixes by tim xavier and olene kadar. they definitely share our faible for >frickelsound<. tim turnes the original track in a dry, more driven techno version. olene - with young ambition and restlessness - starts quiet relaxed, but carries his arrangement of the given samples to the extreme, again

ralph myerz is with no doubt one of the most active music personas of the norwegian music scene. it was the year of 1997 when ralph asked for people to play percussion with him during a party in bergen, norway. the jack herren band showed up through a combination of mutual contacts and high-school friendship. supposedly a one-time-event, they had so much fun playing together that they decided to form a band, and ralph myerz & the jack herren band was formed. the band released a 7inch and a 12inch on the telle records that were followed by great reviews from magazines and dj around europe, including dimitri from paris who included the track nikita on one of his playboy mansion compilations.
