after an absence of fifteen years, jamie read reignites his push ii shove label with a fresh ep under his lhas moniker. those with a keen interest in contemporary house music will no doubt be familiar with lhas jammers for housewax, vibrations, knoe, cynic and more in recent times, and read s career stretches back over the past 20 years and includes numerous credited and uncredited releases. the self explanatory push ii shove 3 ep sees read return to his own label in style with four new productions steeped in the lhas style.

vibrations 002 comes from lhas, aka jaime read, who is here to show all these new old-school house heads precisely where to step off. a longtime cohort of foolish felix, who was horribly ripped off by a chicago legend (just google it) and the man to go to when you want _that_ vintage synth sound spotted, jaime knocks out four tracks that arent retro – they are timeless. from the classic chi-jack of >learning to live< to the swirling syncopation of >call that jazz<, these four tracks eschew rigid programming and live, breathe and ooze musicality. no remixes, just 100% lhas.

felix dickinson and jamie reads revitalized l.h.a.s. inc project return to the formers cynic label with losing my innocence. in original form, l.h.a.s. inc present a blue eyed slo mo acid side to their collective palette that demonstrates some notable diversity and a capacity for song writing. complementing this is a dub from dickinson in his foolish felix guise and two self styled swamp outs from south londons finest cage & aviar

felix dickinson and jaime read met in brighton in 1995 when jaime was producing music for felix’s label ugly music. united by a love of chicago house music they held a 5 yr residency together in their hometown brighton. during this time jaime continued to make music for felix’s label as well as on his own label push 2 shove under the moniker lhas (the larry heard appreciation society). they soon found homes for their tracks on doc martin’s wax records, the belgian label eskimo and felix’s new label cynic music. more recently they have released tracks for tsuba and rong as lhas inc. there is a remix by neville watson. you may know him for his work with kink or his releases on clone and creme.

bobby soft rocks and jaime lhas join forces as elaborate hoax for a slice of balaeric house on happy valley. the remix from reverso 68 is the cherry on the cake.
