return of the dragon ist das lang erwartete neue studioalbum des legendären synthspace-projekts koto. koto feierten in den 1980er jahren große erfolge und haben seither eine treue fangemeinde. das neue album ist wieder einmal zu einem großen teil auf die bemühungen des legendären michiel van der kuy zurückzuführen.

giant cuts presents. shmlss. shmlss consists of bart and michiel, two young dutch guys who connected with each other through the disco sound they both love. always searching for those rare gems in dark, dusty old record stores, they often come home with the same records. their dj sets are diverse and they have developed a particular sound. disco selectors at 22tracks amsterdam and with releases in the bag for special edition, disco deviance, to rack & ruin, paper disco, because music things are certainly bright for shmlss.

after a long break and quite a few releases on other labels including parquet rec, natura viva and diametral oliver finally relaunches his label maschine with two new tracks in transit and planck density while in transit is a straight-forward big-room piece of techno planck density is pumping dark and mysterious. this ep is completed by a remix from dutch michiel van eekhout aka microvibez.

we are extremely happy to kick off 2012 with the second release of good ratio music. after capturing the hearts of audiences worldwide with “money ep” from chasing kurt, it is time to warm up your senses with this emotional “one by one” by our friend tom ellis. a great 2012 starting for this new label runned by carlo and baldo. four evocative songs are composing by this ep which feels pretty organic and sensitive at the same time. you might be ready to embark in such an affecting voyage built upon those ever imperfect harmonies and natural rythm. without any apparent fear we can catalogue this ep in the mood of an experiment close to deep house. definitely it is coming from hundred of harmonic sounds and light melodies, everything mixed up with great sax samples and voices to go further than a dancefloor moving. in this way we need to say big thanks to michiel renger & sammy maine for their contributions in the sax and voice respectively. basically it will be a pleasure to make you feel captured over the clouds after the listening
