so what is the sound of progressive disco? well it captures the insane rhythm and the unforgiving driving beat that is instantly found in the funk of the early seventies but real disco music also had a formula that would guarantee the hottest djs success if played at the right time. that formula was a blend of up-tempo rhythm sections laden with south american percussion mixed with soulful vocals and orchestral strings - a symphony of sex, lust and love. we change the formula and focus on the rock, electronic and dub elements - slower, sleazy and fun.

these two swedes make their debut on adult records but are certainly no new names to the hardgroove techno scene. in between them they have releases under their belt on labels such as hz trax, relatives, sway, mankind and many more! for this 18th release on the infamous adult records label pratap presents two solo tracks and two tracks together with his mate petter b. expect some relentless funkin hardgroove techno, as youve come to expect from this quality label!

this selection is based on over two decades of deep dj experiences. the impact of seeing jazz dancer, michael knot of idj, dancing to acid trax by phuture, in the back room of a pub in teddington, produced one of those seminal moments that, gilles maintains, radically changed his view of acid house. it is important to say that this is certainly not a club album as some of the predecessors in this series have been.
