we are happy to announce the third ep on echocord by one of our favorite producers, stephan laubner aka stl. stephan is mostly known from his own very famous label something. he has also been releasing on labels like perlon, sushitech, styrax, echospace and smallville. this new ep message of sound- is the first part of 2, contains 2 original stl tracks and 2 loops. inside out is a beautifull almost ambient like dubby tune, and heavy snow is powerfull dubby house track, perfect for the dancefloor.

some 20 years on from its initial release, it s amazing how fresh and current praise by leigh dickson sounds, every bit as reinvigorating as a swim in an icy mountain stream. sushitech imprint pariter have opted to remaster the lush original mix in its full glory, adding the already well known and much loved baby ford heavenly circuit remix alongside a new, unreleased alternative remix and new mixes by pariter s own ogerman and derek carr. all four sides are eminently playable in the deep house/techno framework, as you d imagine, with varying levels of the original s bewitching instrumentation retained.

the label’s latest offering comes from hamilton himself, who teams up with panick panick! label owner noha, offering a collaborative ep that is a fitting snapshot into the work of both individuals. the nohamilton ep gets underway with ‘lip service’, a rough-and-ready track with firm emphasis on a grinding, hypnotic loop that easily surpasses your average dj tool. highly finessed and progressing steadily, it’s the perfect example of how to do less with more. looking towards more sun-kissed planes, the duo deliver the ep s a2 track, a more heads- down cut that’s loaded with good-time grooves from the get go. sure to work a charm whenever it’s unleashed, ‘bored of life’ serves up an intriguing insight into both producers’ boundless studio output. romanian duo sit culminate matters with their ‘lip service’ rework. consisting of cristi cons and vlad caia, the pair have been excelling consistently, with both their resident advisor mix and latest release on the iconic sushitech label proving a potent reminder of this. taking the listener down the rabbit hole once more, they inject archie hamilton & noha s original with an eerie sheen, also adding an off-kilter baseline that’s hard not to get lost in. a suitably groove-led but unconventional interpretation, it closes off the ep with the sort of distinction we’ve come to expect from moscow.

frole records presents the second vinyl release, this time a producer from the netherlands. detache is a young producer influenced by detroit, deep house and modern techno. u010011 is the typical detroit track with an undoubted feeling to it. featuring a dubby atmosphere, playfull synths & dreamy pads. the remixes are made by anonym (sushitech and francesco bonora (abstract theory) & mirko (etichetta nera) who are staying in this dreamy realm. the track is made at a lakeside which is portrait by the artwork. valley of shadows is a deep track that is characterized by the dub sound from berlin. a solid tune full of deep chords and pads that transcends the mind.
