first of all the ortloff is home to a couple of people. in the beginning mainly used for living, working and exhibitions the ortloff now has become a centre of art and music subculture at leipzig. inspired by this creative atmosphere, artists, designers and musicians came together to produce their own record. this interchange of ideas makes the forthcoming ep >ortloff 1< a unique piece of art and music

techno, midwest trap, grime and breaks synthesised? this may sound like a rather experimental combination. nevertheless the outcome of leibniz latest innovation is a very dj friendly 4-tracker called quake. the artist is co-founder of the hundert label, half of the projects dj ok and dj bwin and responsible for releases on shtum, ratlife, ortloff and fourth wave. orbb almost dodged jays rocket. mastered by beni brachtel aka bartellow. artwork by paul bernhard and arthur poitevin.

orphra clipz are dark synth techno tracks from varum (leipzig) vs. edgy electrotunes from overdose (rotterdam). hypress based in connewitz-leipzig. techno, bass, electro, experimental selected, founded and produced by one part of mod.civil (ornaments, ortloff) from the arno-nitzsche smoking box. this is the first sign of hypress.

„closed sessions“ is a little comeback for our small family business rivulet records, so we re very happy to get help from some good friends on this one. pablo mateo from lack, perseus traxx who has released on bunker and mos, mod.civil from ortloff in leipzig, profile from esthland and our very own stanley schmidt are artists who have been inspiring and exciting us for quite a while and who seem to share the same love for serious dancemusic. although the tracks are very different, the whole compilation is driven by a dark and moody vibe which doesn t let go the utopian and hopeful core of housemusic which has been the light we re been running for since one of these mornings… we hope you like what you hear, thanks for the support! yours sincerely, rivulet.
