for the third whole truth ep, the nameless producer is joined by la vocal duo lucid paradise, comprised of ishtar and e. da boss (the latter is best known as the deep-voiced half of stones throws myron & e). on *party down* extends the direction of the tom noble mix of myron & e s *do it disco*, bringing beautiful modern soul vocal stylings to a limber groove that could have graced west end records in 81. the pair also duet on *who s taking all the love?*, while the whole truth flexes his dub muscles and drops some deeply burnt chords. this ep follows releases on the whole truths self-titled label in collaboration with uk dub legend erroll bellot and anglo-mauritian producer, singer and vocalist mo kolours, which found favour with the likes of optimos jd twitch and mary-anne hobbs (bbc 6 music).

2019 repress - south londons henry wu makes his hotep debut with the negotiate ep, his most comprehensive release to date. spanning five cuts the ep journeys through loose soulful grooves, dusty fingered beats and bumpy analog house. bringing that redlight, basementality throughout, title track just negotiate featuring simeon jones on vocals moves above street level, adding bitter sweet dancefloor/radio vibes to proceedings. on the whole.... some abstract jazz type sh*t!

henry wu applies jazz infused hip-hop sensibilities to these synth-boogie, and deep house tracks. this was wu’s debut release and set the platform for further massive releases on eglo and rhythm section. on the flip jeen bassa goes in deep with percussive house infused afro-beats laden with jazzy hip hop rhythms. haling from a family of talented musicians (mo kolours and reginald omas mamode iv) he has since gone on to similarly large releases, including last years sterling time waves ep on 22a.
