nouveaunoise is the name given to the audio collages created mostly by two people in the rural west of ireland, niall conway and conor gaffney. what you are supposed to think: veteran crate diggers. rare records so untouched and ripe for sampling that they drip essential mix. moments of melodies spliced and sampled meticulously tiered with break-beating grooves. alchemists of eclectic musical source and sampling technique. the reality: reels and reels of recorded experiments on dysfunctional equipment. instruments created, copied and acquired from distant travels. a healthy fascination with boards of canada and my bloody valentine. a cultural background just far away from the hive as to offer the whole project space to breathe it s own breath

here is the second extract of the zombie zombie new lp >rituels d un nouveau monde<. in addition of the original mix, we asked few friends to take care of the remixes. dj sotofett, the man behind the great sex tags mania label, delivers 14 mn of pleasure, in a moodymann fashion. funk break, deep chords, amazing break using the synths of the original... on the other side, the french blocks from discodeine are giving other vision of a club orientated mix. strange delays heavy beats and tropical stabs

supported by: joakim (tigersushi), shawn mac, xaver von tryer (supersoul rec.), cosmo vitelli, walter jones (dfa), in flagranti, lsb dance disorder, discodromo, space ranger, makossa & megablast, dj morpheus, drrtyhaze, riotus rockers, bottin,.. 2000 lightyears from home is a slow track, but the boys conjure up thick beats reminiscent of early electro and an acid bassline that flows down smoothly. the remix is by altair nouveau, who we recently heard with a great work on dfa/solardisco. he delivers a moroder influenced more dancefloor oriented version. on the b side, come back, a direct track with a sure effect on the dancefloor, house beat and super groovy bassline
