man kann sich tim mislocks debŸtalbum -now is the last best time- auf zwei weisen nŠhern. rein musikalisch betrachtet handelt es sich um ein von der gitarre dominiertes ambient-werk. mit seinen organisch flie§enden klanglandschaften ist es hšrbar von grš§en wie brian eno, stars of the lid oder eluvium beeinflusst, was hier durchaus als kompliment verstanden werden darf. abgerundet werden die sechs tracks durch minimal-einflŸsse eines max richters oder jonny greenwoods. jenseits der musik ist es mislock aber auch ein konzeptionelles anliegen, mit seinen kompositionen auf die krankheit alzheimer aufmerksam zu machen. -i wanted to raise awareness of the disease-, so der musiker. mit alzheimer kam er durch die erkrankung seines stiefvaters in kontakt. alzheimer ist eine schwere erkrankung des gehirns und die hŠufigste form der demenzerkrankung. in deutschland werden jŠhrlich rund 120.000 diagnosen gestellt. tendenz: steigend! fŸr familienmitglieder ist alzheimer eine extreme belastung, und so war es auch bei mislocks mutter, die sich aufopferungsvoll um ihren mann kŸmmerte. und auch daran dockt -now is the last best time- an: -i also wanted to develop a historical document to thank my mother and tell her that her generosity and kindness have not gone unnoticed.-

last days debut, sea told the story of one man s journey. now with his 5th album, seafaring , graham richardson returns to the sea to examine a range of vocations and exploits adrift. drawing inspiration from shipping routes, to ernest shackleton and his crew s ill-fated voyage on the endurance, to families being disjointed and reunited, seafaring goes some way to hint at what the oceans present to us. seafaring reflects on it s subject matter by coherently linking moments that are minimal and still, to those that are compelling and cinematic.

“last days and time” is the third studio album by american r&b group earth, wind & fire, released in 1972, their debut album on columbia records. it was recorded at the legendary sunset sound studios in hollywood, california, with founder and multi-instrumentalist maurice white, verdine white and philip bailey. due to their live performances it cemented their status as the main funk band and set the stage for the band’s blockbuster breakthrough. songs on the album like “make it with you” (originally from bread) the pre-“brazilian rhyme” powerful funk sax style “power”, (which sounds like an early version of “serpentine fire”) and “remember the children” are excellent examples of the great songs and albums they have made during their career.
