jamie jones joins forces with new york’s david berrie for an electrifying two track release on hot creations. doctor zouk is the result of a friendship spanning many years, and is set to be unleashed this autumn. title track doctor zouk is a bumpy, chuggy roller with a prominent percussive break and heady tribal undertone. future society uses thumping drum pads over a growling bassline with unmistakable high hats weaved together over futuristic synths. jamie jones is one of the industry’s most in demand and recognised djs. he heads up one of ibiza’s most treasured parties, paradise at dc10, and now takes it to all corners of the globe. his revered hot creations imprint has put out more than one hundred releases as well as playing a major part in launching the careers of patrick topping, richy ahmed and detlef. spending his formative years in new york, sneaking into the city’s diverse and flamboyant nightclubs and heavily influenced by a broad spectrum of genres, it wasn’t long before david berrie took to the turntables. he released on jones’ hottrax label last year and has had a number of releases on nervous and monique sp é ciale. he commands regular slots at bpm festival as well as at the paradise nights.

rogue d is the new solo project from danny minchella. under this new moniker he delivers the eagerly awaited chains. set to be one of the biggest tracks of the year, its a high octane, club-ready number with abundant driving percussion. unstoppable force patrick topping is also back on home ground for the remix. chains was inspired by jamie 3:26s and cratebug’s edit of loretta holloway hit n quit - i wanted a simple, raw track, killer bassline and a soulful vocal. the process was very fast and i made the majority of the groove in one morning. i dug deep in my collection, looking for that special vocal and came across steve silk hurleys chain of fools (with aretha franklin on the original vocal), and it just made the record pop! - rogue d as an artist minchella has played some of the worlds most esteemed establishments and released on a wealth of high profile labels. he now aims to use his rogue d guise as a means to express his forward thinking and personal tastes in sound- from techno to old school garage to the sounds of detroit. he’s already released on dftd as well as providing a remix of soul claps misty on classic music company. in his relatively short career so far, label favourite patrick topping has made the cover of mixmag, won a coveted dj mag best of british award and made the resident advisor top 100 djs. hes released some of the biggest tracks on hot creations and is resident for jamie jones paradise at dc10. on his rework of chains, topping isolates the vocal and adds a tribal bounce to proceedings.

amsterdam based luuk van dijk is welcomed into the hot creations fold this july with his heavy-hitting parallax e.p. chicago production wizard dj skull is also on board to rework the b-side. title track parallax is set to cause a serious stir at festivals and clubs alike this summer. the smattering of high-hats elevate the track as the space-like beeps and blips add another facet. on the flip, dimension applies an ominous vocal stab as the bass rumbles — perfect for low ceiling basement raves. on the remix, dj skull adds a touch of chicago class via some softer vocals, dubby chords and a pounding bass. at the tender age of 22, luuk van dijk has been signed to acclaimed labels such as viva music, roush, food music, sanity and lost records. championed by stalwarts such as steve lawler and eats everything, he has taken his sound to some of the world’s most prestigious events. ron maney aka dj skull became known for being one of the first djs to play the new sound coming out of chicago, honing his craft at the infamous music box and power plant. releasing records since the early 90s, he later launched his own labels hypnotic tones and wax candy records. recent releases have appeared on chiwax, domina trxxx and mentha records.

up next on hot creations is intrepid spaniard dennis cruz. the award winning dj and producer drops some heavy hitting dance-floor dynamite this june, enlisting the production expertise of new yorks joeski for the remix. title track freaks is deep and driving, with its almost slurred vocal, its perfect for those 4am vibes when the freaks come out to play. mother f..cker utilises heavier percussion set off by a pounding bass. the joeski rework of freaks adds a dash of prominent high-hats with the producer softening that unmistakable bass-line. dennis explains this ep is the style of music that i love to play and produce. it s what i feel more comfortable with and what i think defines my sound. dennis cruz has been firmly implanted in the music scene from a young age. he got his first taste for playing music at the age of 17. since then hes gone on to produce tracks for prominent labels such as moon harbour, solid grooves, snatch! and nervous records. his records have been championed by some of the industrys hottest djs from jamie jones to loco dice, and nic fanciulli to marco carola

uk talent josh butler has made a rapid ascension since he burst onto the scene in 2013, winning coveted awards from beatport and dj mag. he now brings his production prowess to hot creations, delivering a club ready two-parter for his debut ep on the label. title track anonymous is made for low ceiling, sweaty basements with its deep, growling bass and select vocal cuts. doesn’t work swiftly follows suit, delivering another dose of rolling, after-hours goodness. a mainstay in the industry, having released on labels such as cuttin headz, relief and desolat, andrea oliva steps up for the remix of anonymous with an acidic bassline and lively breakdown that diffuses into a carnival of synths. since emerging on the scene back in 2013 with his debut got a feeling on mta records, josh butler has firmly established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with. releases followed on coveted labels such as kaoz theory, rejected and cajual. in 2016, butler also launched his own highly regarded imprint, origins

making his debut on the label, spanish producer kuo climax is welcomed to the hot creations fold. a solid two track release that has already been heating up dancefloors across the globe, the talented artist showcases his distinct style and proves why he is hotly tipped for 2018. the ep opens up with whyte, a pulsating track with a warped bassline and oozing synths. two and a half minutes deep it disperses into a breakbeat-esque breakdown that dives back into the familiar 4/4 beat. title track nacrem is a smooth roller with an underpinning bass and intergalactic vocal stabs. the ep highlights the spanish producer’s ability to bring balance to his output, providing music perfectly attuned for the floor. born in malaga and now residing in barcelona, kuo climax has released on respected labels such as knee deep in sound, solid grooves and viva music. 2018 will see the producer launch his own vinyl-only imprint, lfofl, that aims to recognise the progress in technology without losing the essence of true dance music.

up next on hot creations is the hugely influential leftroom records boss, matt tolfrey. well known for bringing fire to the dancefloor as well as to his productions, this punchy two-parter is no exception. on title track americas, tolfrey delivers a peak-time slice of rolling electronic goodness with pounding pads that bounce around the percussion, with a drum and vocal loop that lure you in. regain the past is laden with throbbing bass and subtle vocal stabs that gently caress your ear before thrusting you headfirst into the break. matt tolfrey has come a long way since his musical journey began. spotted by craig richards and invited to play at his fabric night, this culminated in the honour of recording fabric 81. since then tolfrey has become a mainstay in the scene. playing countless clubs and festivals across the globe, he also holds down residencies at stealth in nottingham, bar americas in guadalajara and r33 in barcelona. productions can also been seen on esteemed labels such as cuttin headz, phonica, crosstown rebels, rekids and his own impressive imprint, leftroom.

producer and vocalist kevin knapp delivers his killer new single blah blah blah, returning to the hot creations fold after last years vocal feature on jamie jones positive pressure. here, jamie returns the favour, partnering with another label favourite, detlef, to supply a monster of a remix. finding time in his hectic schedule of touring the world, running various record labels and his paradise parties, jamie jones teams up with one of his paradise residents detlef to deliver an audacious remix, perfect for the twilight hours. hardy percussion, acid blips and pulses meld together to form a bolshy, no-frills remix. greek artist detlef shot into the limelight in recent years with releases and remixes on labels like hot creations, relief, knee deep in sound, moon harbour, and defected. kevin knapp gained attention with a string collaborations with audiojack (gruuv, 2012), matt tolfrey (leftroom, 2012) and his debut hot creations cut with richy ahmed (2013). a prolific producer and featured vocalist since 2011, kevin has released on the likes of hottrax, crosstown rebels, dirtybird, mother recordings and more.

in-demand producer flashmob delivers a masterful two-piece assault on his hot creations debut, entitled the lone brazilian. the ep opens with the title track, fronting a funk-laden bassline and percussive, driving drums. tribalistic male and female chants break the track up, adding depth to the unfolding journey. next up, lower level supplies a deeper trip. a tight, assertive drum track counterparts a short, wandering bassline to form a settled, rolling feel. italian artist flashmob, real name alessandro magani, is a renowned producer and remixer, label owner and touring dj. since 2011 hes released on the worlds biggest labels, such as get physical, defected, kompakt, snatch! to name a few, and now delivers his bespoke sound for hot creations.

returning with his signature sound, cuartero is releasing his moon crash ep on the revered hot creations. two high-paced, underground rollers to energise and hypnotise, completed by a masterful groove-heavy remix from dj sneak & tripmastaz. moon crash combines a sturdy, looping low-end and rhythmic, mid frequency percussion. a playful mix of synth and vocal chops, stabs and blips, transform into an invigorating ride. the legendary dj sneak and fellow house gangster, tripmastaz, combine forces on their sp1200 fire mix, turning the original moon crush on it’s head with affected vocals, a rejuvenated bassline and a jackin’ house beat. cuartero hails from malaga, spain, and has been releasing music since 2009 on labels like desolat, moon harbour and saved. in 2015 he was named best newcomer dj at the dj awards and in 2017 he won best tech house artist and artist of the year at the vicious music awards.

two of dance musics hottest producers coalesce on the latest hot creations release. frank storm and matteo spedicati bring us gimme tha honey, a throbbing three-track ep that gifts us with a rework from robsoul label boss phil weeks. frank storm reveals -this is our first collaboration which was born a year ago in our studio in barcelona. we share the same passion for our own definition of the ghetto sound, blending fresh and techy vibes.” with this inspiration they weave an almost menacing vocal into the pulsating bassline of lead track gimme tha honey. the phil weeks remix brings a slither of light with a shower of synths and warm, bubbling bass. the ep closes with the long wait shaking the record into heavier terrain, as the industrial keys are underpinned by a flurry of tough drums. frank storm has been a key player on the white isle having played at some of the island’s biggest clubs, space, sankey’s, pacha, ministry of sound and zoo project, as well holding down a residency at the night unusual suspects. matteo spedicati began releasing music in 2006 and has received support from ricardo villalobos and richie hawtin. since then he’s gone on to work with such high profile names as joseph capriati and mendo, as well as releasing records on an abundance of top labels.

a firm favourite with the hot creation camp, jey kurmis returns to the label with his jessycat ep. following acclaimed releases lil’ nic french, kari and not too flabbeh on the imprint, we once again see the talented producer at the top of his game. the ep stays true to jey’s trademark sound as the producer delivers three tracks to take the dancefloor through to the small hours. the ep opens with jessycat, a bubbling tribal affair that implores you to move. an array of vocals bleeds into the record taking you on a journey to outer space. fien features co-producers nukov & yelmet and takes a darker turn with a rumbling bass and intense vocals that state “my head spinning like a merry go”. the outer space sounds continue into closing track vanstone, unfolding with a swinging bass and distorted stabs. part of the industry from more than a decade, jey kurmis has previously released on labels such as, moon harbour, leftroom and kaluki. taking his dj skills to new levels he has played the world’s hottest parties- from sonar to bpm, and the warehouse project to dc10. the leed’s based music maker has also commanded residencies at do not sleep and paradise.

ecuadorian carlohs passion for music began at an early age, learning the art of turntablism from his father and uncle, both of whom were djs. heavily influenced by the native instruments of his country and the folk music of the andes mountains, his knowledge of modern and traditional is reflected in the latest release on hot creations. the ep opens up with title track sound pump. alien-like noises float amongst the powerful, thudding drums before descending into a crescendo of hurried synths that are smashed into outer space by that classic jackin beat. this is swiftly followed by the dark and looming bassline of its like before, littered with twinkling, cosmic synths it’s works a treat! claiming he wants to rescue the sound of classic house, the talented producer has forged a musical style that strikes the perfect balance between old and new. describing himself as a pioneer of the musical genre andes house, carloh has previously released records on desolat, baumsounds and im a house gangster.

hot creations is home to some of the industrys most valuable players. next year, darius syrossian will make a welcome return to the label with his heavy hitting two-parter, moxy, following on from 2013s whos the douche? ep. kicking off proceedings is moxy. six minutes of pure, raw, industrial bass littered with a smattering of high-hats and a break down that will leave you begging for more. the flip side serves up more peak-time goodness with hi, its me. a driving, throbbing bassline thumps over wobbling synths with a female vocal stating that she does not do vip clubs or bottle service bullshit! darius syrossian has made quite the mark on the industry. he began releasing music in 2009 and his proceeding career has seen him release a slew of dancefloor hits on labels such as viva music, 20/20 vision and get physical music, as well as collaborations with steve lawler, josh butler and sidney charles. hes also held down residencies at some of the world’s most influential clubs and has become an essential part of the ibizan summer seasons.

hot creations revive chicago’s ghetto house scene with pioneer dj funk and german producer rydim who deliver the pumping “ghetto booty”. a fitting addition to the release, miami’s jesse perez is on hand with solid remix.
the title track is a real throwback to the era of ghetto house with it’s straight up, stripped beats. rydim explains “this project is a dream for me! dj funk has always been my greatest hero in all things chicago. doing “ghetto booty” with charles was such a fantastic opportunity to bring all these energetic, uptempo chicago vibes to today’s dancefloors. it’s a bouncing, killer of a track! the other “easy as that” is more of a dj tool. it’s the result of my latest drum computer, swinging like only these little machines can.”
rydim has been stirring up dance floors and releasing records under a variety of pseudonyms since 2002. since his rydim alias began in 2013, he has delivered releases for an enviable roster of labels including hot creations, tsuba and pets recordings and his tours have included the electronic scene’s most prestigious clubs.
mr. nice guy records label owner jesse perez has released on labels like hot creations, i’m a house gangster, bpitch control and eats everything’s edible. his music always has a tongue in cheek charm and this latest remix is no exception, as he brings a heavy dose of funk and swing into the mix.

following their no.1 hit tribesmen, which was one of the biggest releases on hot creations in 2016, dynamic duo solardo are back on the label with the mighty fall down. toronto native carlo lio and revered dj and producer mk are also on hand to deliver a solid set of remixes.

proving he knows how to work a dancefloor, rising star latmun makes his debut on hot creations with the mighty footsteps, featuring vocalist amy douglas. in equal measure, the b side piquant delivers another heavy hitter.
a certified tech house bomb, footsteps is full fire from of the off. new york based vocalist, amy douglas, brings extra heat, adding a distinct intensity in the build up. with a current track out on soul clap records and an upcoming ep with juan maclean as part of their peach melba project, amy is one to keep an eye on. one the flip piquant offers another peak time killer for the dancefloor.
latmun shot into the limelight in 2016 with 3 great of ep’s. his def ep on viva received support from heavyweights like skream, claptone, claude vonstroke, matthias tanzmann, steve lawler and many more. the following releases on wow! recordings and leftwing & kody’s lost records had similar success. in 2017 he released his biggest to date, the everybody’s dancin’ ep on relief.

london star alexis raphael returns to hot creations with the dance floor killer it’s kinda jazzy, with fine french exports dan ghenacia and chris carrier teaming up to deliver the remix with electrifying results. title track it’s kinda jazzy is an ultimate peak time weapon. alexis explains how its a real melting pot of different musical influences that have inspired me over the years. there s everything from hip-hop to 90 s uk house and garage, jungle/drum and bass, upfront house and techno and, of course, jazz. on the flip dan ghenacia and chris carrier deliver a solid remix that keeps the pace, changing gear through trippy turns. last up, second original track strip off lays down the swing with sultry vocal slices. an influential player on the london scene, alexis raphael earned his stripes across the pirate radio stations of north and east london during the late 90s and early 00s and went on to hold residencies at legendary london clubs the cross and bagley’s. his first release spaceship was picked up by hot creations sub-label hot waves in 2011. since then, he’s had numerous releases and remixes on labels including jackathon jams, of unsound mind, avotre and get physical and not forgetting his anthem, i know. dan ghenacia is the undisputed kingpin of the paris underground scene, having founded and ran freak n’chic for seven years and now one of the three creative minds behind new label and b2b2b dj outfit apollonia. chris carrier is another heavy-weight from the french underground scene. together they have delivered some recent killer ep’s on appolonia, music for freaks and adult only.

hot on the heals of phil kieran s first blinded by the sun album remix project which featured roman flügel and andrew weatherall remixes, hot creations return with a second remix package. mano le tough, matthew herbert and david holmes all contribute to create a set of flawless cuts and a superb second remix package.
david holmes under his unloved alias concludes the package with a cinematic remix of think too much, overflowing with emotion, it makes the perfect conclusion to a stellar release. also from belfast, holmes has been composing music for over two decades, winning his second ivor novello award in 2016.

ibiza resident and darling of the white isle, davina moss returns once more to hot creations. having released on jamie and lee’s imprint in 2015, moss returns with two original cuts whilst cuartero supplies the remix. oh mama opens with tribal rhythms and a driving energy set against the enticing vocals of issa elle while like a proper star concludes with a dynamism and groove reminiscent of ibiza’s hedonistic parties. best newcomer at the dj mag awards in 2015, cuartero transforms oh mama into an after party dream drenched in rolling drums. the spanish dj and producer is no stranger to hot creations having previously released twice on the label. davina moss has been producing and djing for over a decade with a musical career that has allowed her to travel the world and release on a variety of labels, including viva music, pacha recordings, upon you and do not sleep among others.

burgeoning dj and producer bontan makes his debut on the notorious hot creations label. hotly anticipated, the release features two original cuts to fuel his rising profile. uk based bontan has been using title track the first time as his secret weapon for the last six months and is now finally unleashing it. “i’ve been testing it and tweaking it play by play!’ he explains. ‘the vocal compliments the rolling bass melody and gives it a darker edge”. this a producer who fully understands how to create a track for a heaving dancefloor. personal question is the second cut and flips the mood entirely with a twisted vocal entwined in beeps and percussion, whilst stirring the sentiments of lost early hours. a firm favourite in the underground scene, he has built a solid reputation with releases on circus recordings, 20/20 vision, and cajual among others.

consistently unearthing a hotbed of new talent, hot creations next release is back to the music from dj and producer sooney. the release features two original tracks and a stellar remix from one of the biggest names in dance music, route 94. title track back to the music is an exhilarating record shaped through melodic synths and keys alongside a sharp bassline. route 94 strips back his remix to the bare groove. while the chugging beats of afraid of the dark bring the release to an accomplished close. london based sooney fell in love with house, hardcore & jungle in the early 90 s. in 2015 he set up his own label, take control records, gaining support from the likes of shadow child, jamie jones and gorgon city to name a few. since being discovered by the hot creations family, sooney’s sights are firmly set on big things for 2017. fellow uk artist route 94 shot into the limelight in 2012 with chart success and has since gone on to appear on labels including virgin, defected and crosstown rebels, and work with major names like katy b and jess glynne.
