legendary nyc dj / editor danny krivits story in contemporary dance music is a long and storied one. dannys got to be one of the hardest working men behind the decks right now with an international rep and dj schedule truly befitting of his time spent making us dance over the last 45 (!) years. it makes perfect sense then, that one of the most seminal disco labels of all time would call upon mr. ks sharp editing skills when reappraising some of the jams from their extensive catalogue. tk disco is the label in question here and they ve let danny loose on a pair of dance-floor burners that all disco heads will be familiar with.

having gained huge amounts of radio play for his own productions, as well as the occasional cheeky re-edit, scrimshire brings us two firing reworks of a couple of musical rarities covering latin, soul and disco angles.
his re-work of the 1975 brazilian obscurity tatarue by giovana aims both barrels firmly at the dancefloor, while his extended edit of the morris wilson’s version of rappers delight, entitled bebopper’s delight, thankfully extends the original’s 1’35” length with some typically scrimshire twists and turns along the way.

hot off the back of the release of their debut album familiar circles - casino times unveil the second instalment of their casino edits series. nearly three years on from casino edits #1 , ct return, keeping the spirit of the series alive with two more dance-floor ready disco-cuts. whilst the celestial sounds and atmospheres that defined the first record are still present throughout, both tempos and temperatures have been raised, culminating in an energetic addition to the casino edits series.
