violet is the sixth and final part of the balkan vinyl colours series: 4 artists per record, 6 releases over 6 months (red, green, blue, orange, yellow, and violet). each record is limited to just 250 hand numbered & sealed copies. every record comes with a cd sealed in the sleeve containing the vinyl tracks plus extra tracks and remixes. violet starts with halfstep electronica outing fum by plaid, starting off straight up but spiraling through rhythms and melodies by the climax. following that is secondos spacious kvarner bay, glacial electronics float over a twisted mr. oizo style bassline anchor. posthuman bring the deep & dark techno with the ottawa object, morphing into a dubstep fusion in the second act, and passarani closes the vinyl with the post-electro italo anthem salty vibes. the cd is rounded off with three ambient remixes of the posthuman track, giving a fitting closure to the series of six records.
