light on his feet but not afraid to throw a punch when required, robin ordell rustles up three insouciant but meaty groovers for his second discobar release. auguste iii stretches languorously across the a-side, skippy hats cutting through the rolling, bass groove in his now unmistakeable style. lost in misty byways goes for a more sprightly walk in the park, but its nonchalance becomes increasingly threatened by dissonant voices and faulty background circuitry. finally, the sauntering bass on chelbergerho gives momentum to atmospherics that inhabit the border between dark and light harmony, never quite resolving but always pushing forwards into the morning sunshine. for robin ordell and discobar, the summer has definitely begun.

minuendo recordings launches its next limited edition vinyl, signed this time by one of the boss of the label. c gonzalez under the pseudonym of ordell presents >slowly but steadily ep<, an album focusing on the dance floor, influence for black music. to this reference has enjoyed the cooperation of juju & jordash (dekmantel, real soon, psychostasia…), remixing the track >court & paste<.

minuendo recordings returns back with its 15th release, the deepfathers is another super production of the spanish label with ernie and ordell introducing their brand new tracks. pure underground deep house full on body and soul in the same lines of the two previous eps grand deep auto & deep wars. jus ed, is one of the most influential and respected producers from the underground house scene and hes now the special guest. edward is the owner of the uq (underground quality) and has produced for labels like strength or fxhe and some others à the track summer breeze, is a great example of the quality of his uq.

for its 9th release, discobar picks 4 tracks of previous releases and asks close producers and friends to remix them. we invite then dead rail, monkey nenufar, vlad caia and tokyo ghost to mingle with the discobar family and give us their own interpretation of our music.

assemble music brings together four more producers at the forefront of today’s fine minimal/house/electro scene. eklo boss seuil kicks things off with jam, a slowly-unfolding confection of metallic percussion and rolling bass set against a meditative, minor backdrop. his fellow half baked resident robin ordell brings a tipsy-sounding vibe to mobsiw, each element swaying its way around the others in an off-key dance. les points’ barbir adds detroit hats to a no-shits-given breakbeat and suspends it in time, before finally a 4/4 kick comes to put feet back on the ground. finally, traffic founders martyné and jacob draw on more contemporary breaks and electro influences on electronetto, with that laissez-faire swing with which their label has become synonymous.
