this 4-tracker from spanish affkt might quite simply be his best release to date. i have always admired his different and quirky productions and as the followers will know we have released tracks with affkt before.this time me and marc (aka affkt) went deep into a&r ing the release to make sure all tracks reached their full potential. tracks have been added and removed from the release over time. the tracks have been re-arranged, adjusted, revisited over a period of 9 months time (yes thats how much time we spent carefully putting this release together and making sure it was perfect). i am really proud of what marc acomplished with this release on noir music. all 4 tracks work really well in the clubs and they each have a very strong affkt signature which i wont bother describing in detail by words but rather have you listen to these amazing squared pieces.

here we have one of our favourite kitties. affkt! he is one of the most experienced electronic producers coming from spain. lost in process ep is a two tracked affair backed with the remixes from cristoph and wehbba. the title track is such a delicate cut, boasting the sensual vocals from thomas gandey which evolves the cut into a deep and emotional song that radiates pure joy. on the other hand, boss is a darker and techier cut featuring thomas gandeys robotised voice that perfectly balance the whole cut. the remixes from cristoph and wehbba bring out the burst of energy the release deserves.

with sincopat 21 we start a new chapter in the label, we ask the illustrator philip cassirer to create a really special artwork for the next 10 eps, is a mosaic made up with ten pieces starting in the 21th release and ending with the 30th, we call it sincopat island and just 300 limited vinyl copies will me made for every single release, so you will just be able to build the puzzle getting our next 10 releases.

marc martínez nadals personality beats after affkts music, and his journey through the world of music has been imprinted on this album. with constant thirst to expand his musical experience, affkt confesses he was somehow searching for himself. the idea of making an album was not premeditated, but working with cuban musicians was the seed of this project that has been enriched by the experiences lived by marc during the last year and a half. punto 0 is not just a physical or spatial concept that shows the base or the beginning of something, it is also how the secret fortress-residence of fidel castro in cuba is known. a mysterious place that no one can certainly place on a map at all, that cannot be controlled from outside. the name fascinated marc when he first heard of the place in la habana, where the album was taking shape, to be later completed in berlin, brazil and valencia. affkt looked to bring strokes of all that different sounds into punto 0. he has collaborated on this album with an eclectic group of international talented artists such as mathias kaden, marcin czubala, darlyn vlys, apdw or sutja gutierrez. with the sounds of one journey this story is born, and channeled by marc all the way through 16 tracks, including bridges and interludes. the listening of punto 0 creating a special atmosphere that you miss when its gone.

back again we have the mediterranean flavor of the friends affkt and alberto sola. always experimenting with different ingredients like the cooker ferran adria, the guys who laid the first stone of the legendary label barraca, now present a hybrid of pop and house which will leave no one indifferent. ‘pobla loves you’ was born with the tuba of alberto cuartero, orchestra director of hoya gonzalo in albacete. marc and alberto (affkt and sola) wanted to have a typical instrument of a band and merged it with the electronic dance scene, always being faithful to his maxim of making music to dance as well as to listen. if we surround valencia, road to pobla de farnals, we passed through la canada. there are los updates, who upon hearing the organic rhythm of pobla and the work with the wind instruments, set to work with the voices. perfectly adapted to the capital of the turia river, jorge and loreto propose a valencian poem that their children have learned at school. the moon of valencia then join our dinner for four. finally, we add to our paella a bit of percussion and keyboards made in affkt, to get a main course and obtain a typical valencian plate but by adding a little chilean salt becomes international. more oriented to the dance floor, there are three rather different remixes. new union between spain and chile, with danny fiddo and felipe venegas. this couple present an elegant and deep remix with drums and vocals perfectly adapted to the current sound. moreover, the french man darlyn vlys re-interpreted >pobla loves you< with a lot of groove and percussion added. finally, affkt gives his funker version of events to complete a job that will come out by the german label international freakshow
