troy gunner continues to strengthen his new imprint gunner with a second self-released title. having had 001 hotly-tipped by the likes of ra, dj mag and mixmag - plus a plethora of dj support from hodge, zenker brothers, john osborn, carl craig and moxie to name but a few, gunner stays firmly on track with another trio of armoured uk-techno tracks packed with chilly atmospherics and gnarly drums.

mak & pasteman are pleased to announce a pair of new artists into the materials fold, woz & troy gunner aka wxt. with success across the board in their own right on black butter & mindset the pair join forces for their first joint venture on the materials imprint. convo is a big room arpeggiated techno heater, pairing emotive vocals with an air of darkness that fits perfectly with the materials aesthetic. hudson moore uses clanging metallic percussion and rattling sub notes to meld grime influences and techno mentality into a tough roller that was built for the club.

the voyager camp proudly presents their second release, this time packaged as a two part series with both editions crafted by the ever capable troy gunner. undoubtedly one of the most talented producers rising through the ranks, the two part ep is a testament to his versatility while showcasing a diverse range of influences. both tracks feature regular and well-known collaborators, rowl and synkro, and the record conveys an even deeper side to all parties involved, signifying a move away from the traditional arrangements seen today in favour of originality.

bss records returns with the second in a series of va compilations entitled percussive parameters . after successfully launching the series last year, showcasing both emerging and established artists and topping juno s vinyl chart, this one s set to cause a stir. first up is troy gunner, an artist with a wealth of experience and a diverse arsenal of club focused records to his name. ‘pleading shows troy s deeper, more melodic side with atmospheric pads and vocals layered around an intelligent, driven percussive array. as the track progresses, a hypnotic and compelling synth is introduced that draws the listener further in, cementing troy s intuitive abilities in the studio. next up are head honchos silas & snare, who deliver a certified club weapon. memories starts unassuming, mesmerizing and innocuous, before launching the listener into a rolling, dubbed out cut destined to open and close sets across the world s sound systems. on the flip, we bring two exciting and emerging uk producers, agrippa and yak, both delivering their debut 12- offerings. kicking things off is ziplash , a drum workout that demonstrates agrippa s ability to manipulate percussion and sub to the highest caliber, with thunderous claps and kicks weaved over intricate beats and samples. finally, and as the name suggests, showdown is a menacing cut of club weight destined for low ceilings and late nights, with a relentless sub and inimitable groove throughout! as ever, we d like to say a massive thank you to everyone supporting our music, ideas and artists.

white asega co-­owner jack dixon wrote new curtains after a friend who was coming wildly off the rails told him he was a good producer but his tunes were boring. the original version was really sparse and about 300bpm. when jack moved to new york the parts got lost, so he remade the track a dozen times. this was the version we all liked best, although jack never wants to hear it again in his life. it sounds tough and tropical. our friend troy gunner remixed it, and turned it into something so loud and slamming it will knock your teeth out. after telling jack to stop making boring music, mark kodiak spent two horrendous years working with jamie kodiak on a song they ve called taargus. it nearly destroyed their friendship forever but we think it was worth it. it has brutal weapon sounds, nasty snares and an incessant “yo” that has been described as “annoying and unnecessary”. the artist tom pounder has created a blinding video for it that contains brand new colours. french born bass genius bambounou stepped up to remix the track, taming the wild stems into a hypnotic early­morning house stepper. it took us approximately 2000 exhausting facebook group chats, four cross­atlantic flights and one divorce to get to this point. we hope you will enjoy this record for the rest of your lives. rip ken tulley.
