this is the first reissue of tim hecker’s classic 2001 debut full-length. the original recordings were remixed by tim hecker and mastered by matt colton at alchemy mastering.

limited edition of 1000 copies. 5x12 inch vinyl box set containing the first 4 albums by trisomie 21 in a gold foil stamped black lined heavy board box with a die cut enamel pin and sticker.
dark entries will reissue the first four full-lengths from seminal french coldwave group, trisomie 21. originally released by stechak/pias between 1983-1987, these releases will see their first vinyl appearance in over 30 years in a deluxe edition limited boxed set. remastered by george horn at fantasy studios.

trisomie 21 is a post punk band formed in 1981 by phillipe lomprez (vocals, drums) and herv? lomprez (guitar, electronics), two brothers from abscon, in the north of france. they began composing songs at the age of 16 while studying at school. the brothers were influenced by kraftwerk, the residents, yello, p.i.l as well as the films of george a. romero. their music consists of lush soundscapes that do not easily fit into any one category. lyrics are sung in english because in the north of france the duo sought to contradict the trend at the time for everything to be sung in french. musically their mood is melancholic and one can hear traces of joy division, durutti column and the cure.

debut lp offering from london rap group jungle brown. having featured on sbtv with their ep ‘take one’, this lp builds on a strong foundation. sample heavy, with strong saxophone performances from ayo odia, the instrumentation is rich and thick in texture. lyrically the group go from light and playful, to deep and introspective with great subtlety. keep it movin (a1) is a light reflection of the group moving from bournemouth to london, while ‘in the city’ (b1) is a gritty anthem detailing the arrival to the city. having a strong performance record behind them as well, the group’s reach is good, both in the uk and abroad.
