tact recordings vinyl only sub-label tactics returns this august with tactics vol.3 , a three-tracker coming courtesy of label co-founder fletcher.berlin-based producer and dj (richard) fletcher, also known as one half of duo adventures in daydreams, has been steadily carving out his own brand of soul infused house and techno over the years, picking up support along the way from luminaries such as larry heard, oskar offerman, mr. g and ivan smagghe along the way as well as shows on his home turf at berlin hotspots like ://about blank, sisyphos and golden gate amongst others.leading on the package is oildrum with skippy hats, bumpy wooden percussive hits and a snaking bass groove throughout as modulating synth whirrs and airy pads silkily ebb and flow within. faucet follows, featuring long time tact recordings artist luke black, edging things into dubbier realms via ethereal, billowing chords, rumbling sub bass tones and metallic percussive chimes to create something raw and hypnotic before brewed rounds out the package, this time round laying focus on a swinging organic drum groove, bubbling, glitched-out synth tones and ever-unfolding atmospherics continually keeping the tension building throughout.

eric fetcher has been given the honour of contributing to invite’s choice and does so with a four-track banger for its ninth output.
kaissa’s neurotic synth and wobbly bass combined with its forceful hi-hat open this ep in a stripped-down fashion, which makes it perfect to build tension and make transitions in any dirfections while mixing. mephisto continues on the path chosen with coherent and hypnotising synthesis, whilst keeping a funky kind of feel due to the very present kick and hi-hats, yet has a darker feel to it. deep blue on the b-side is a more four-to-the-flour track with a rousing synth and banging hi-hat, perfect for lifting up a crowd! cray blitz combines hypnotising bleep-like sounds and a mind-blowing string with droning low-end sounds. hypnotising like the other tracks - but with more drive - this ep is closed down. eric fetcher showcases his take on techno which fits perfectly between both modern day and oldschool techno!

with a fleshy mix of acid and electro cuts from sync 24, privacy, luke eargoggle, etcher and -=uhu=-, berlins longstanding machine-driven music collective, mechatronica, forcefully unites the classic and new sound on their first record release. a first-ever collaboration between established electro commanders luke eargoggle and sync 24 opens the record in toxic floor buming fashion, followed by a cold and tightly programmed electro journey by -=uhu=-, blending the mechanic and the monotone in a comment on todays relationship between machine and man. building on strong previous releases with lobster theremin and klasse wrecks, privacy kicks off the flip, taking the tempo down with a booming, melodic electro cut, followed by a funky acid workout by etcher featuring his signature bubbly basslines and soothing synths.
