bite sized beats vol. 4 brings back the kentucky fried duo corduroy mavericks to partake in a deep fried fandango. some jams are fantastically tasty on their own just like a lot of your favorite foods, but sometimes you take that extra step by battering it, and throwing it in the deep frier till its a nice golden brown. that is just what c-mavs did to a stevie wonder classic on their crispy bit >funky jazz<. they fried that bitch up just right and shot the flavor units through the roof just like the miracle of a deep friend twinkee.

hailing from lexington, kentucky, matt mason and rick nielsen, better known as the corduroy mavericks, are quickly smashing the stereotype that the midwest is lacking in prolific house music producers. with their quirky range of jazzy, soulful, techy, deep and funky house, new york, chicago, the west coast and other dance meccas have been put on notice via the sonic enthusiasm of a pair of corduroy-loving trailblazers from the bluegrass state.

welcome to fab guiro! - the album title is a combination of both the popular british phrase fab gear referring to all cool music & lifestyle aspects and issues surrounding the band and also stresses the relation to the percussion instrument guiro that is an integral instrument, sound and necessity in latin, salsa and especially traditional cuban music. fab guiro! is beat music in a fascinating, exotic robe, a drum roll of liverpudlian song pearls the songs of the beatles on fab guiro! do actually sound like copacabana, cuba and kingston - but always like the english harbour town in the summer - northern song in a southern style are indeed warm songs, fab guiro! simply means lots of fun, entertainment and thus celebrates our heroes.
