on the occasion of the third release, we re glad to welcome french dj and music producer dan ghenacia, head behind godeep (his new solo project) and one-third of apollonia, as well as live performer and music producer argenis brito, resident at club der visonäre for over 8 years now and where he hosts his boom n bust party. whereas dan ghenacia proposes an indisputably more grooving and dancefloor-driven version of david k s aquatic machine dream (ts07) that came out at the end of 2016, argenis brito — for his part — delivers a rather dubby and minimalistic interpretation of david k s daydreaming ailleurs (ts10) which was the first track that be released on tone series.

tone series (ts) is glad to introduce to you to its second release tsrs02. in 2016, we launched tone series. so far, we ve have released five eps (consisting of two tracks each) all composed by french musician david k. midway between the first release ts10 and the last one ts01 (ts06 came out at the beginning of september 2017), we thought it would be interesting to ask artists we like to reinterpret one of david k s creations. as a result, we re delighted to present you tsrs02, 2nd ep of the tone series remix series, 2nd ep of the tone series remix series, consisting of: a. 24 bars per day (ts08) remixed by english music producer, live performer and mosaic label owner steve o sullivan,
b. friends (ts06) remixed by french music composer, dj and c.s.r. label owner cesar merveille.

today, we are glad to introduce you to our tone series remix series. one and a half years after the launch of the parent label, tone series has released five eps (consisting of two tracks each), all composed by french musician david k. and almost halfway between the first release ts10 and the last one ts01 (ts06 came out at the beginning of september 2017), we thought it would be interesting to ask artists we like to reinterpret one of david s creations.as a result, we re delighted to present you as 1st ep (tsrs01) of this tone series remix series: dipe (ts09) re-drummed by french music composer and dj traumer as well as winter bells (ts06) remixed by japanese artist tomoki tamura, both artists getting the ball rolling for this new soulful and colourful series.

tone series is glad to present you the 5th ep ts06 (ts06) of its soulful and colorful release series.

ts07 is the 4th ep of the tone series project and in line with the previous three releases ts08, -09 and -10. however, while machine dream freezes you up with its winter grooves whilst on your way to the club, keep the bomb warms you up as soon as you get inside.

ts08 is the 3rd ep of the tone series project and in line with the previous two releases ts09 and ts10. however, its two tracks hawaian jam and 24 bar per day present rather refreshing grooves, right on time for the summer.

ts09 is the 2nd ep of the toneseries project and in line with its 1st release ts10. however, its two tracks dipe and featherhand present a more dance-floor driven vibe and deeper groove.

ts10 is the 1st ep of the toneseries project. born from the collaboration between french music producer, live performer and dj - david k, and lumièreslanuit s co-founder and an der grenze s founder - edouard morin. however, it isn t clear which artist from their extended crew stands behind this 1st release, as if the berlin-based music label wanted to focus on the music rather on the artist. ts10 consists of two tracks, both deep and groovy. whereas ailleurs disseminates the perfect warm-up groove, desert snowflakes fires off a more dancefloor-driven vibe. with regard to the artwork, as shown on the cover, each track has its own colour. there is neither a a nor a b-side. the same applies to the record vinyl itself. each track stands on it own. as a result, ailleurs and desert snowflakes distinguish themselves from each other through their vibes and colours, although they remain in the same spirit. in summary, toneseries brings together the idea of interdependence between music and design: what colour follows on from music and, in return, which musicality comes out of colours.
