the story behind this record begins in 2004 on newbury street in boston massachusetts. juice belushi founding member paul foley is dressed head to toe in 80s regalia, including vest, fingerless leather gloves, fedora and chain connecting nose-ring to ear pierce. its like a scene out of michael jacksons bad, minus the dancing. at his feet is a boom box blasting freestyle and 80s electro-funk, hes handing out mix cds. needless to say we were intrigued!

fifty shades darker is a 2018 erotic romantic drama film directed by james foley and written by niall leonard, based on the novel of the same name by e. l. james. danny elfman wrote and composed the score for the movie.

fear is the vilest of human emotions - it weakens and corrupts, leaving mistrust and paranoia in its wake. in against the dying light, swarm intelligence embraces and wields fear, all the while breathing life into its rival: hope. to explore these concepts, swarm intelligence turned to horror films for inspiration - choosing dissonance and atonality to create sinister and unsettling melodies, as well as foley techniques to produce disturbing, unnatural sounds. the results are at times vicious and abrasive, at others acquiescent and almost mournful. swarm intelligence s against the dying light marks the first, full-length album on voitax. with moments of seething tension, unrestrained fury and dejection, as well as glimmers of hope - this record may have its roots in industrial techno, but ultimately it defies classification.

interior groove traveler, and recent resident of canada’s “left coast”, unknown mobile has honoured us the privilege to issue his first 12-inch record. the three cuts hike through rolling levels of melodic foley and pensive oral snippets, laid over tough low-end and resonant harmonies. percussion is sparse yet carefully woven around patterns that wash in & out. while “no motion” and “rhododendron” induce a state of calming limbo, “mantra” offers a celebration of dance.

evan reiner aka gossamer macht elektronische musik, die von hip hop, hardcore und jazz guitar beeinflusst ist. reiner studierte an der berklee school of music film-sound und foley artistry (frei übersetzt: geräuschemachen). dabei streute er dann beispielsweise sand über schlagzeug-becken, oder nutzte gebrauchte patronenhülsen für percussion, was ihm eine ganz neue perspektive eröffnete. inspiration fand er bei künstlern wie ai weiwei oder maya duren. für sein debütalbum begann er während eines trips nach japan field recordings in tunneln oder unter einer brücke in l.a aufzunehmen. zu hause setzte er sich dann hin und *made accidents happen*. mit aufnahmegeräten, samplern, gitarren und analogen synthesizern. *automaton* ist eine präzise und sanftmütige traumlandschaft, die sich mal solcher musiker wie gas, boards of canada oder auch vangelis besinnt, wie auch brian enos und jon hassels album *fourth world*. die vinyl-lp erscheint inklusive downloadcode.
