repitch recordings new release is one of a kind. attesting to the greatness of belgian industrial techno pioneer hypnoskulls album ffwd>burnout, the label has compiled a fresh selection from the 1999 milestone and now pressed it for the first time on vinyl. the aim is to introduce its grinding breakbeats, its blasting hyperbolic groove, and ferocious disturbance to a new generation, championing an undying enthusiasm for heavy and deconstructed club sounds. moreover, the ep comes with an exclusive remix by birmingham master surgeon, whose own militancy in hard-edged techno has contributed to his legendary status, reuniting a different yet somewhat similar vision of dancefloor experimentation. it also includes an updated version of hypnoskulls manifesto, renewing his methods of cultural resistance.

repitch’s latest releases is a full-on acid assault, a distorted analog techno speedwagon driven by label co-founder d.carbone along with panzerkreuz affiliate and rave veteran albert van abbe. side a is composed of two tracks produced by van abbe and paul van ghent under the guise of his most unapologetic acid project penik etteck. recorded between 1998 and 2000, it is a duo of incendiary bangers made for no other purpose than pumping energy into the rave. on the flip side, van abbe’s youngest project datasmok sides with d.carbone for two more tracks ripe with acid basslines, heavily distorted drums, and noisy drones, speeding up the tempo on the first one and slowing it down on the second in order to explore the many dynamic possibilities of raving.

its not often you hear a techno record produced by a total of five people. when it happens, it’s usually to mark a passage and make a statement. sometimes it is a matter of celebrating a rita of passage, a shift into maturity and the embodiment of a new skin. this is what repitch is doing with the fourth and final installment in their “features” series, reuniting all the crew for the the final blast of what’s been a long and massive barrage of heavy techno. this is the collaboration to end them all: repitch founders ascion, d. carbone and shapenoise have shared the studio with longtime allies and. together, they explore a common ground made of pounding metallic percussions, gutwrenching bass and thick, furious grooves, with each producer bringing his own peculiar contributions to the table. this last installment marks the end of a process that accompanied repitch throughout its whole existence, thus enhancing the beginning of a new chapter in the label’s creative output.

the second release of the 10inch repitch series features on the a side for the first time a collaboration between repitch bosses ascion and shapednoise after his recent debut album on prurients hospital productions, while on the b side we have a track from the other repitch boss d. carbone

repitch returns with a strong 3-tracker ep from the high-acclaimed british duo and, enhanced by a remix that comes from semantica s boss svreca. the release starts with a catchy techno track that got its strength in an endearing melody and a reassuring breath-alike sound that bring us positive vibes. in the a2, svreca puts the a1 track into a black tunnel. claustrophobic atmospheres, blind and disorienting sounds with a circular attitude that you ll not see the end. on the flip, the b1 would be the pick for those who want to destroy a dancefloor. straight and distorted beats are followed by sinister whistles, pressing and complex hi-hats layers culminating in a punishing melody.

zenith positions is a 4 track collaboration between modularz label owner developer and italian producer and repitch label owner ascion. the two producers worked apart in their studios with a similar concept and idea to create a special ep fusing together vintage synthesizers, retro futuristic ideas and funk influenced rhythms with a modern feel. the ep as gained some strong support from all the major dj talents worldwide.

berlin-based repitch artist gaja runs ophism, a label oriented to raw industrial inspired techno. modern urban and suburban views are composed by monotonous, repetitive sequences and simple elements, focused on the mechanical landscape of factories, warehouses and assembly lines. concept behind could be the translation of the urban sprawl in music. gaja provides full improvisation and finally the new protagonists are the machines: their cold steady rhythms, their screeching metallic noises, their symphony of inarticulate patterns.
