daniel terndrup ist ein in los angeles ansässiger dj, produzent und langjähriger plattensammler, der zu einer lokalen autorität vergangener musik geworden ist. er ist regelmäßiger gastgeber in radiosendungen auf dublab (crosseyed & painless) und nts (heat-wave) und veranstaltet gleichzeitig eine wöchentliche party für heat-wave in zusammenarbeit mit wyatt potts im ehemaligen hollywood stripclub gold digger. daniel begann vor einem jahrzehnt als eine hälfte von cosmic kids musik zu machen. neben ron poznansky machte er sich einen namen mit berauschenden house und astral dance tunes auf kultlabels wie throne of blood, let s play house und dfa. das duo remixte auch namhafte künstler wie the rapture, holy ghost!, poolside und superhumanoids. nach einer handvoll veröffentlichungen mit cosmic kids wendete er sich eigenen projekten als daniel t. zu. sein solo-output ist inspiriert von allem, was sich beim durchblättern seiner plattensammlung findet: funk, post punk, new age und pop (z.b. compass point all stars oder yellow magic orchestra). die musik, die er als daniel t. veröffentlicht, spiegelt seinen globalen geschmack wieder, ist aber unauslöschlich gefiltert durch seine südkalifornische umgebung. die vinyl-lp erscheint inklusive downloadcode.
