so here it is vol 6, with 6 trax, yes 6 trax, hows that for value for money. track 1 , kicks off the e.p with a monkey infused acid rolla from the he-men ,aptly named rolla, really deep acid rolling track for you head nodders out there , then track 2 comes courtesy of new family member bufo bufo, who already boasts releases on ritual poison and egd, his track is a real four/four breakbeat extravaganza, moves along lovely with breaks and bleeps, very excited about this track and a very please to have him in the tdo family. djpc returns with track 3, his track called danger man, and believe this is dangerous, proper old school sounding warehouse rave with wicked pianos and baselines .good to have him back. then flip over and boom side b, hits ya with dawl track party till the a.m , great advice and a great track from dawl, back to his proper full on rave breaks and bleeps to kick off side b the way only he can. then track 2 we welcome another new member to the tdo family, although he has mastered several e.p s and digi trax for us , this is the first track craig bratley has ever made for us, over the moon to have this man on board - craig has earned a solid reputation from a series of curiously erratic releases, releasing records across the spectrum of electronic music on labels such as futureboogie, suara, throne of blood, bird scarer, tsuba, instruments of rapture, claremont 56, leng, to rack and ruin and is it balearic and as well as his own magic feet imprint. the recent discovery of a box of old dat tapes in a house move has allowed craig to revisit some of his earlier attempts at making music in the 90 s. the re-sampling and editing one of these tracks has provided the basis for craig s contribution to tone dropout volume 6, back from the dat . from the dat really is a hats off tip to the rave generation, thank you craig proper got this right for our label. then finally track 6 , is bonus track , tones breaks part 2, a full on pow in ya face rave banger, a little feature we will be doing now on e.p s a nod to the legendary bones breaks of cours

ltd 2016 repress - delusions of grandeur have had an exceptional couple of years since their inception in 2009 with fourteen vinyl 12s from a host of producers helping to put them at the top of the pile of underground labels making house music for discerning ears. it was only a matter of time before the label took the logical next-step into artist albums and here they are with the debut lp from 6th borough project entitled one night in the borough. its more than likely that youve come across 6th borough releases or edits on labels such as instruments of rapture, jisco or permanent vacation as well as having kick started the whole thing off here at delusions of grandeur with their release the soul part ii (under the aka craig smith & the revenge). its also more than likely youve been in some late night establishment whilst the revenge provided musical accompaniment on his record players seeing as he is one of the most in demand djs playing underground house and disco on the scene right now.

starting off 2014 with an italian/manchester collaboration - the 3rd release on el diablos social club sees dj rocca (ajello, erodiscotheque, crimea x) & chris massey (electric elephant, paper recordings) join forces to bring us a selection of spaced out, chuggy goodness with just a bit of a nod to certain croatian festivals. drug chug kicks things off with a plodding 4/4 infused with cosmicesque swooshes & whooshes along with a bassline to rattle the funktion ones. whilst synths reminiscent of the time & space machine add that much needed touch of psych to proceedings. shone takes the party to late night in the club where spiky 909 percussion meets chunky analog basslines before dropping in with distorted & reverb drenched piano chords that guarantee to leave a lasting impression on both the head & heart! remix duties come in heavy on this release with craig bratley dusting drug chug with his own style of studio fairy dust to knock it up a notch that will surely please those who have followed his sounds on andrew weatheralls bird scarer imprint, robsoul, foto, is it balearic, instruments of rapture and his own magic feet label. lastly edscs very own head honcho neil diablo tackles shone and lays off the epic-ness and brings a straight up basement chugger. this release has grit & oomph balanced with a good helping of sunshine infused warmth that will ensure its place in the boxes of both house heads & balearic boys all over!

hot on the heels of phonica records inaugural release comes a new 12inch on the label from jc freaks, with a very special remix from the revenge. jc freaks is the duo of anthea nzekwu and werner niedermeier. like hector, who helmed phonica 001 with ben bryant, anthea is phonica through-and-through, working behind the counter at the london store. an award-winning dj, she produces with werner as jc freaks and has already released two acclaimed 12inchs on mojuba offshoot wandering. dub praise is a sultry, funked-up assault on the dancefloor, incredibly direct and immediate but full of subtle modulations and dub chords. theres a jacking, almost boompty feel to the track, but the blissed-out vocal snippets, rich synth-tones and burbling acid licks give it a timeless, rolling quality beyond that. this is seriously addictive stuff. on the flip theres a remix from the revenge, aka graeme clark. phonica have been huge fans of clarks releases on labels like jiscomusic and instruments of rapture over the years, both solo and as part of 6th borough project. here he reimagines dub praise as a deep disco track which is all spaced-out percussion, breezy keys and low-slung bass but has real character and intensity to it. so it is that the eponymous label run out of londons best electronic music store continues its march on the worlds dancefloors and dj-boxes - with a 12 inch of hypnotic house class that fizzes with ideas and, more than anything, groove
