this release kicks off hardrock strikers new label imprint supreme striker which will feature reworkings and re-imaginings from himself and others. part one brings 2 previously unreleased up - tempo jams to vinyl for a limited time. first up is cetu javu, amazing spanish band from the 80s close to depeche mode best 80s production with the seminal, anthemic & lost b side por favor (original goes for 500 euros!) reworked as mano a mano into a massive dance floor teaser that totally goes off when its dropped. while on the flip, ready for the worlds funk-fuelled classic sheila named ready 4 shyla is cut up and supercharged in true striker style into a deadly dj weapon. striker takes and rips it apart, turning their track into a massive chugger thats building up into one of the most anticipated vocal breakdowns. big is an understatement. both tracks are respectfully edited,lovingly re-mastered and cut loud at 45 rpm for maximum dance floor pleasure and djdelight. dont hold back!

>the dude< ep is based on the idea by holger flinsch to invite some of his friends to produce some >dude< tracks together. the hypnotic first track on the ep is an emotional, minimal shuffle stomper by two_em & el locco. the second track is produced by toby dreher and sm.art (well known for her last depeche mode >martyr< remix on mute). >zelterdude< makes great use of a funky bass and the hypnotically rolling arrangement progresses to nice french female vocals and hypnotic synth lines. and the last track is produced by holger flinsch himself with his dude holger nielson aka holgi star. its a superb smoove grooving club track which keeps a deep detroit feeling

suction records is thrilled and honoured to announce the reissue of d arcangelo s self-titled debut ep for rephlex, the legendary uk label run by aphex twin and grant wilson-claridge from 1991-2013. d arcangelo are the italian duo of brothers fabrizio and marco d arcangelo, active in the underground electronic scene under various aliases since the early 90s, and still going strong today. released in 1996, their rephlex debut -d arcangelo- was one of the first releases to make a firm connection between contemporary idm/electronix and the sound of 80s synth pop. the 3 tracks on side a are ripping, industrial-strength electronix, as fierce, crunchy and menacing anything aphex twin himself had released at the time. in sharp contrast, side b s 3 tracks are playful, clean and melodic instrumental synthpop, with clear synthetic references to bands like depeche mode and omd. it was a sound that was certainly not in fashion at the time, and helped the ep stand out in 1996, for that very reason.

jesper dahlback is one of swedens leading djs/ producers with a lengthy back catalogue to his name, including co-production on two tiga albums, the hugg and pepp project with cousin john dahlback, and remixes for the likes of rex the dog, zoo brazil, arnaud rebotini of black strobe, thomas p heckman, robyn, the knife, and depeche mode. jesper has music in his genes, but it was the musical movements in detroit, berlin and london that inspired him to start producing techno, back in 1991 in his bedroom studio. completely hooked, by 1993 he d formed the stockholm-based globe studios together with peter benisch and adam beyer (following a chance meeting on the train to love parade?) and has worked there ever since. in 1996 jesper started the imprint, blank, mainly for his own material, and simultaneously launched joint venture dk with thomas krome - one of the first labels in sweden with a techno house crossover approach! in addition to making music for various techno labels around the world and working with planet rhythm, jesper met up with swiss-born stephan grieder who had just started the svek label. the duo started to experiment with different sounds, drawing on house musics roots, utilising vocals and acoustic instruments. jesper now describes his sound as >ranging between the analogue sounds of the roland sh101 and the precision mathematics of my computer. i m a researcher and developer of unheard sounds! since the founding of globe studios, i have always been looking for new ways to bend the rules and test the unknown. when i dj, i just play my own productions blending old classics with new unreleased demos.< a producer first and foremost, jespers dj dates find him weaving a soundscape of his productions, remixes and collaborations with new material at every gig, as well as musical elements and sounds worked through the set. one of his favourite current ventures is his part in jori hulkkonens acid symphony orchestra.
