siegmar fricke describes his music as -dynamic dancable collage-pop with a 90s technoid tendency-. the music on this release is made by yamaha sampling- keyboards, yamaha multieffects, synthesizers and 60s magnetic tape recorder, recorded on a four-track tascam tape-machine. from 1987 – 1993 he produced twenty four cassette releases, some on his former label bestattungsinstitut and some on other tape-labels all around the globe. this vinyl is a fine selection of various tapes from 1988 – 1993 slightly edited for club use and remastered by berlin s masterchef kitaro from schnittstelle. heavy underground dancematerial for the first time on vinyl!!! comes with a strong extended dancefloor remix by manfredas.

carl gari is a group of three from munich: jonas yamer, till funke and jonas friedlich. they released their well received and idiosyncratic debut (npr mentioned it as one of the 50 best albums in 2016) on the trilogy tapes, for which they collaborated with egyptian singer and spoken word artist abdullah miniawy. for the second release on permanent vacation they perfected their unique blend of psychedelic ingredients, dubbed out drums, drony sounds and a general hazyness. the mystic chants of abdullah, who is also featured on two tracks, weave themselves into the bands lively sound texture. apart from that carl gari showcase the diversity of their analogue driven and melodic approach to electronic music through four beautifully detailed tracks.

hike: cristal clear lakes, impressive mountains, soothing forests and berlin techno music. the tazekka national park in morocco features forests of cork oak and holm oak, caves, canyons, rural landscapes, cascades and a mountain jbel tazekka which is some 1.980 meters high. its a joy to hike through, yet it flies under the radar of most visitors to morocco. sometimes, if youre really lucky, you can find a beautiful aragonite near a spring in one of the beautiful caves, that belong to the national park.
