friends for many years, richard sen and scott fraser come together with a dose of mutual admiration and back slapping by remixing each other on this 2 track ep. however, what makes this collaboration different is there are no original versions appearing, just these remixes.

emotional relish welcome in their second ep of 2013 with some solo work from scott fraser after a previous collaboration with headman and nitzer ebb vocalist douglas mccarthy. the light sleeper ep pairs two trademark fraser cuts with remixes from the aforementioned relish boss and fellow weatherall acolyte timothy j fairplay. a drab bassline wades *paraphase mine* into the murkier exclaves of synthy territory, allowing headman to lighten the mood by adding some tonal difference in his mix. fraser sets his arpeggios to flutter and bounce in *centreville lapse* with marching snares set to a severed heads styled reverb. fairplay does away with the tracks nosier components, demystifying frasers original for a warmer, eat petting remix.

the rothmans label combines an unlikely link between football statistics, some of the best (or worst) haircuts to grace the european version of the game, with jacking drums and acid-based rhythmics. the label dedicates its third ep to french striker dominique rochetea, with a various artists ep as strong as the back four of arsenals 98 fa cup winning side. the nigel winterburn of the release is coyotes without the e, a squelchy and balearic groove with psychedelic vocals not too far off from dj koze mrs bojangles. aimes and scott fraser provide the ep with the composure of tony adams and the brute force of martin keown with their respective synth-led productions the kontemplation of kosmic order and heat for dust, while on the right - a would be lee dixon - drvg cvltvre, supplies the master builder, an ebm and industrious dancefloor workout.

first scott frasers ep on astro lab , after his recent releases on world unknow and remixes for virgo four we are really proud to have scott on board, the john hughes experience is already supported by andrew weatherall, ivan smagghe, daniel avery and more. on the b-side mark e turned this low techno track into an slow house flavor, something betwwen nu-groove styles and mark e current stuffs.

over the years scott fraser has recorded and remixed for emissions audio output, black nation, wave tech, relish, rush hour and world unknown to name but a few. his latest home is bird scarer for whom he has recorded 9 minutes of low slung machine funk loveliness (as featured on mr weatheralls recent masterpiece mix set). the b side comes courtesy of a remix by mr fairplay who more than reaches the high quality control he always sets himself.

the first world unknown 12 inch of 2012 is a double header of throbbing midtempo techno and as with all world unknown releases from now on both tracks have been mastered for vinyl from ½ inch tape for maximum sonic excellence. on side w semtek from dont be afraid joins forces with his afterparty alter-ego chardonnay and a certain rather well known og hipster poet on >tacos for dinner<, an extremely modern and massively psychedelic trip into the outer mind. this clicking, bleeping, fizzing and throbbing ten minute excursion has been road tested from acetate by andy blake for many months and always sends the club somewhere very special and ever so slightly scary. on side u scott fraser delivers >remains the same<. its a notch or two less pacey than side w but no less powerful or psychedelic. its earthy vibe and pounding, throbbing tones have been part of andrew weatheralls sets for some time now and its not hard to see why. when the full percussion finally comes crunching in like a breakbeat on top of the ever-present heavyweight bassline its disco pandemonium time. in short, possibly the best 12 inch so far from wu.
