to mark the first astonishing chapter of his career, seth troxler is presenting this is then, an essential ten track compilation album taken from his ever impressive discography.

the inimitable seth troxler is next up on his own influential label with something of a milestone release: his finally physical ep is a precursor to a compilation album, this is then, due in may this year. this is then will be a typically unique celebration of seths 10 years as a major force in the europe underground scene. it will draw a line in the sand on the first part of the michigan born artists recording career before he embarks on the next chapter. this preceding ep features four productions that were never properly released and they serve as a taster to the forthcoming compilation, with two originals and two remixes, one of which comes under seths lesser used alias, thrill cosby.

with a current knack of attracting some of the electronic music scenes most revered talent to the label (see recent releases from laurent garnier, luke vibert and losoul), it is with open arms then that hypercolour welcome seth troxler to the fold, bringing with him phil moffa in this new collaborative effort. seth needs little introduction, suffice to say his previous releases on labels like crosstown rebels and wolf & lamb (amongst others) has shone like stars, and phil moffa comes with a very decent pedigree and studio prowess that has seen him previously team up with the likes of dj spider and anthony parasole, as well as running the butcha sound studios in nyc.

beretta grey presents the second record by detroit duo >reference< a.k.a. luke hess & brian kage.. >reference vs. vol 1<, consists of collaboration with other key beretta grey artists ryan crosson and seth troxler. each song was carefully developed by all artists simultaneously. sessions were held at interstellar studios in detroit with all artists present. the initial musical concepts were recorded and written. next, the songs were sent back and forth until the finished product was agreed upon by all parties. in this fashion, the music created provides the character and soul of each artist, but fused together in a way that creates a more detailed account. one perspective alone does not capture the whole story. in this release, a feeling is captured by four artists, giving the listener a bigger picture, which helps to better capture the concepts of sound as it relates to a moment in time

the watergate mix series goes into the next round. konrad black is a founding member of the wagon repair label and part of the richie hawtins m_nus family. for watergate he delivers a mix containing influential classic material as well as new unreleased productions by himself with collaborators such as martin buttrich. his signature sound, a dark vision of techno shines throughout the entire project and refects his self-perception as a dj. over the last years konrads sound has found a home in berlins watergate club and one can catch him play here on a regular basis
