de:tuned is the new label of djs, record collectors and party promoters bonny (ruben boons) and konnekt (bert hermans).the label is an extension of the de:tuned parties which they have been organising since 2009 in and around antwerp (belgium). de:tuned stands for proper old school club music, whether its techno, acid, rave, house. de:tuned is about quality music in general. previous guests at the de:tuned events include ben sims, dave angel, mike dred, robert leiner, cj bolland and frank de wulf to name but a few.

in 2003 robert leiner produced these 4-tracker of technoid and electro-tools.

brainbox shows the open-minded and versatile character of the belgian de:tuned label and explores the more cerebral output within the full spectrum of electronic music.
the album compilation features 25 tracks of both new and previously unreleased material, offering a widely eclectic mix of ambient, techno, idm, broken beat and drum & bass from a range of well-respected and established artists who ve pushed the musical envelope and have inspired a whole generation of music enthusiasts. the tracks have been mastered by matt colton at alchemy mastering to ensure the highest playback quality.
in addition to the music, de:tuned has worked with designer kevin foakes from openmind (aka strictly kev, dj food from ninja tune) who has translated the diverse musical theme of the album into stunning graphic artwork.
brainbox will be available as a limited edition (300 copies worldwide) numbered box set consisting of 6 heavy weight 180 gr records housed in individually printed inner sleeves. the vinyl box includes a download card and sticker.

de:tuned was founded in 2009 by ruben boons and bert hermans. the pair first organised a series of old school techno parties in antwerp (belgium) before launching the record label in 2012. to celebrate 5 years de:tuned they now turn out a very special 5lp album featuring 21 tracks from some of the most respected names in the game. the album has its roots firmly in early/mid 90s techno and electronica, a style which de:tuned has always presented, and spans some 20 years of electronic music.
