cccvvv is the brussels based duo of clara vellin and sofa elsewhere. the first covid-lockdown drew these two old friends closer and both a love-story and burst of musical creativity followed.

having released on the label before (including a collaboration with lake haze last time out) lisboa based producer ivvvo now returns to creme organization with a new three track solo ep.

creme organization turn to the mysterious ivvvo and lisbon producer lake haze for a new single that comes backed with a remix from label regular legowelt. the single 1 is a hard hitting but fuzzy, misty and hugely spacious house track with deep jacking drums, haunting synths spiralling all around and freaky voices buried deep within. hugely atmospheric and lovably imperfect, it then gets remixed by legowelt. his version of the track flips it on its head, strips back some of the white noise fuzz and reimagines it as a driving techno cut with impish chords, retro arps and high pressure stabs. its a peak time bomb and ensures that this release is a high impact one indeed.

fourth wave are very happy to welcome ivvvo onto the roster. already having released the breathtaking *all shades of white* and *occult* albums for opal tapes, contributions to the oporto based terrain ahead, and the aptly named *future* ep for public information, portugal hailing ivvvo (pronounced e-vo) is the owner of exquisite palette and master of a unique language in his music. from the shadows, and in a pair of shiny new nike kicks, ivvvo has effortlessly created some of the most profound and romantic techno tracks of recent years.

nice price deal !!! this second release from glasgows fortified recordings is a departure in sound from their first acclaimed ep by dundees loops haunt, but all the same in attitude. iranian born, texas residing garagesmith vvv uses his late night musical tests to forge and perfect his sonic output, and deploys a range of techniques not normally found in the often formulaic world of garage and dubstep. this patchwork quilt of laced beats, field recordings and intensive sample editing has made manifest a four track ep that simultaneously references the work steve gurley, todd edwards, carl craig, my bloody valentine, the cocteau twins and roy davis junior via the bastardised strains of 2-step and house practiced by the likes of ramadanman, untold and joy orbison, peppered with that magic elusive el_b swing that only the greats are able to achieve. at the same time familiar yet different (how many times have you heard that?), the four tracks on projects kick with the intensity of the best club music and invokes the cosmic spirit of classic motor city techno with an uplifting and deep soulful vibe that reveals layers of orchestrated natural sound upon repeated listens. in other words, its sexy as fuck. slated for an official release early march , one can only assume this limited 12inch will fly off the shelf much like fortified s inaugural release did

austin-based vvv is one of a new wave of garage producers whose music actually feels like an honest mixture of vintage and modern touches, rather than a trend-hopper looking to capitalize on a few dubstepforum fruity loops tutorials. he s an artist who happily mixes and matches signifiers, lacing his productions with subtle streaks of colour and leading them into unexpected detours. over the course of across the sea vvv swings from gleeful todd edwards-style vocal mush (-aisle seat-) to sepalcure-esque house-tinged workouts like -retreated- to more experimental fare. on tracks like -stuck between- or the stumbling punch-drunk jungle of -duration of light-Ñwhere breaks crash through filtered soul samples and cause ripples like dominoesÑhe always keeps the tracks backbone intact while doing some of the weirdest things to bass music youll hear this side of machinedrum. across the sea doesnt have the same visionary outlook as room(s), but it shares that albums embrace of fine-tuned sequencing and development. the tender, reflective moments that occasionally pop up are its best, whether its that memorable opener or the fogged-glass beats of -among the whispers,- which admittedly sounds a little like burial but higher-definition, with high-strung chords recalling netsky more than untrue. the albums closer -all that weve been through- nicely sums up the proceedings, throwing an out-of-context piano on top of another burial-esque beat loaded up with reverb yet still cutting clear as day. its perfectly representative of vvvs aesthetic: his debut album isnt always made up of entirely original ingredients, but like any good chef, he knows how to present it in a way thats irresistibly appetizing.

asuntos internos is an ep dedicated to artists from spain, in this case 3 from barcelona (nlk, delusions & niet! and nehuen) and 1 from madrid (vvv). the first two songs, -overview- and -100 freeze-, have a obscure tones, and darkwave intensity. in -exorcism- delirious voices are planned on a magnetic basis while relatively ethereal, while -i do not know what i want- (jump it now mix) finally jumps into the dance floor with a purely techno ebm cut. asuntos internos es un ep dedicado a artistas del pais, en este caso 3 de barcelona (nlk, delusions & niet ! y nehuen) y 1 de madrid (vvv). las dos primeras canciones, -overview- y -100 freeze-, tienen un tono más post-punk: la primera recuerda a the cure y la segunda añade intensidad industrial. en -exorcismo- unas voces delirantes planean sobre una base magnética a la vez que relativamente etérea, mientras que -i don t know what i want (want it now mix)- salta finalmente a la pista de baile con un corte puramente techno ebm.
